Ran him out of his nest and he made a new one in mine. New meaning of what goes around comes around.
RATS!
So I have a 250 gallon water tank that is filled by refilled 5 gallon water bottles at the rate of 25 gallons per trip. I have learned that humans need a lot of water and the dogs do to. Sadly I find I’m not so clean as I used to be because a shower is a luxury that uses a lot of water.
I had to move the water tank the other day as I was moving the travel trailer to make room for a mobile home that will be the beginnings of a house. Under the platform I had made for the water tank I found the biggest rat you have ever seen. I saw him and he saw me and we both went opposite directions.
I’ve seen them in books. I saw some in movies. But in real life… creepy. So I tore up his house thinking he would find another place to live. He did… in the engine bay of my truck….
NEW YEAR
Never even realized it was a new year until a moment ago. Happy new year all.
Cleared enough for a small house and a back yard for the dog. Built a woodshed too, (that little white thing in the back there). Hard work. In need a tractor or a couple of Morgan horses but all I have is manual labor for now. Chainsaw and machete baby!
40 acres in the woods with a pond and 5 acres of grass. Going to try and make it a home the old fashioned way. With work.
