It’s crazy how maintenance workers are able to get to my apartment so fast after putting in a request. But the amount of times they have said we can’t do anything to resolve this is disheartening.
My dishwasher is stuck on the end of the cycle. It plays the last minute and will not start at the beginning. They told me there are six cycles depending on how long you want to wash. But I have tried cycling through and it never starts at the beginning. I was told they can read the manual and that was that. I have to pay $2600 a month for a place that doesn’t really have amenities. The dishwasher does not work and my stove will destroy food at the setting right above low.

can i be honest im 100% for the fact that like the tradwife stay at home mom thing is really fucked culturally but also like i think we as a society have to figure this shit out because a child needs the equivalent (if not more) of a full time job's worth of work from an adult who (for the health of the child and for the ethics of the situation honestly) needs to be able to function in a way that isn't making the adult miserable because being raised by miserable adults has really tangible negative impacts on children. whether its community childcare so that simply more adults can be involved in the situation or much more robust social aid towards young families. like this might he stupidly idealistic but i think really the root of a lot of issues in society come from the fact that people refuse to understand the gravity of like. parenthood. its an insane responsibility. i think it should be treated as such
raising a kid is a full time job. it can be a part time job for about three people. keeping a household clean and cooking 2-3 meals a day is another full time job. so like, no shit women want to have ONE job at a time. right now they're expected to have about three.
So the problem of the tradwife thing is that since it’s not an organic movement, but a propaganda effort by white/Christian nationalists trying to return women to subaltern status legally as well as socially, it jumped ahead of the creation of structures and institutions that will properly support someone, wife, husband, third partner of a polycule, whomever, in staying at home to care for the home and the children while being properly financially supported (UBI) and given strong legal protections against financial abuse, isolation and loss of ability to meaningfully re-enter the job force if and when they choose.
The proponents of the subjugation of women will point to families who have successfully adopted the tradwife model as proof that UBI and those protections are unnecessary.
They are taking advantage of the “someone should be able to stay at home” and UBI conversations happening on the left to further right wing goals. It’s all very cunning and very dangerous and needs as much pushback as we can muster.

The unfair system is also: the increase is in % while this method only increases the poverty gap.
A worker has a wage of 2000 Euro, while the CEO has an income of 10000 to 250000 Euro or even more... 🤦

The worker gets 40 Euro more while the CEO gets 200 till 5000 Euro more income while in fact he needs it the least.
That's absolutely no fairness...it creates a growing income gap. People at the top only want a high income for themselves, but not for others because then they will have less for themselves. 🤦🤦🤦

the worst thing that could possibly happen to ao3 is it being put on the app store so please stop asking for it because you don't understand what would happen if that went through. ao3's whole deal is it archives EVERYTHING, while the apple app store's whole deal is keeping everything clean and safe. so if ao3 were to have an app all of the 'bad' stuff, including nsfw in general, would have to be censored at best or would be purged at worse. the google play store is more lax but who fucking knows what GOOGLE would police if they got their hands on the archive. do not ask for an app. do not use third party apps. it's on mobile browser functioning perfectly, just fucking use that before you ruin everything for everyone please.
Stop demanding that your entire fucking online experience exist through apps. Buckle down and figure out how to use your internet browser goddammit!!!
Your dependency on apps is exactly *why* the app store and google play have the power over social media that they do. The less people rely on them, the less platforms will have to focus on becoming sanitized in anticipation for some obligatory app release.
