I got even madder when I came across this interview (https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/holiday/8489469/pentatonix-interview-holiday-album-hallelujah) in which they say that they almost added xmas lyrics to Hallelujah but decided not to, not because that would be extremely disrespectful to Leonard Cohen, but because they wanted to “honor the poetic original. It’s inclusive – people who don’t celebrate Christmas can enjoy it.”

As if Hallelujah is an inclusive xmas song instead of a Jewish song written by a Jewish man inspired by his Judaism.
