calling them by their last name: tiktok prank (Bonten ver.)

ran: dude this motherfucker would be so amused. you calling him by his last name? he'd just be like 'yes?' with the cockiest smirk on his face, just waiting to hear what you're about to say. honestly gives zero fucks and is having the time of his life

'yes, yn?'

rindou: opposite of his brother. when he hears his last name from your lips, he's already thinking about what you could've figured out he's done. did you realize that he was the one who ate your leftovers? did you realize that he actually did beat up the person who he caught staring at you after you told him to let it go? though his expression would be blank--as it always is--he's sorta dying inside

'what?'

sanzu: honestly he's probably just confused. looking at you with a tilted head, brows furrowed as he tries to think about what you could be so upset about. his mind is so scrambled at the moment that he honestly, truly has no idea what it could be.

'did i...do something? wait--did mikey say something?'

kokonoi: much like ran, he'd be so nonchalant about it. probably toss his hair over his shoulder with an unmatched confidence and stares at you expectedly. so much sass, to be honest

'yes? is there something you want?'

kakucho: out of all of them, kakucho would be the most panicked. he doesn't like seeing you upset and he especially hates doing something that makes you upset. he'd definitely have visible concern on his face and take you hand in his, eyes desperately searching yours as he tries to figure out what made you upset.

'what's wrong, love? did something happen'

mikey: much like kakucho--he doesn't like hearing his last name leave your lips. he'll probably stare at you with a scarily blank look before the first crack of emotion peaks through and he narrows his eyes, silently trying to figure out what happened. I honestly don't think he'd ask you what's wrong, he'd just expect you to tell him. but, if you don't, he'll speak.

'what's going on?'

Look, I get that there are some people who are upset by the casting of Annabeth--and I get that some people are more upset than others. But that doesn't excuse the disgusting behavior that's being presented to Leah and being said on the internet.

Omg Annabeth's black!? So what. It's an amazing opportunity for Leah and it's amazing opportunity for representation. Bullying her off TikTok and spewing racists remarks is NOT okay.

If you don't like it, don't watch. Don't interact with. Don't comment how upset you are by using cruel language, and don't say racist shit.

It's that simple.

you can be upset. but there's a difference between being upset and accepting it--or just deciding not to watch it--and being upset and being racist and cruel and just an overall asshole.

Annabeth can look however you want in the books. But just because someone you weren't expecting was casted doesn't give you the right to act the way that some of you are.

It's a TV show.

and, honestly, if you're really that upset by it, bother Rick about it. not some 12-year-old girl who was presented with an incredible opportunity.

But that being said. If there are people who are upset and are being RESPECTFUL about it, don't call them racist. They're allowed to RESPECTFULLY voice this disappointment. To many, Annabeth was probably white--because that's what she was alluded to be in her description:

"Annabeth has tanned skin and a slender, athletic body. She has long honey-blond hair set in perfect princess curls, like Cinderella. Percy said that she "looked like a typical California girl, except that her stormy grey eyes ruined the image."

and, because of the uproar caused by the movie (specifically about Annabeth's description), it's understandable that this is a surprise. again, people are ALLOWED to be disappointed. But there's a difference between being disappointed and moving on with life, and being disappointed and being a racist towards a girl who was given this casting.

as I said before, if you're truly that distraught about it, take it up with Rick. Not Leah.

But, for the love of God, can we please be RESPECTFUL, KIND, people.

hey, pretty girl

request:

Heyy, I found your blog and I really enjoy your writing. it's really good and I was wondering if I could request a oneshot. the idea I had was based on this one sound from tiktok (it's from criminal minds, I'll put the link at the end of this). So it's like the reader and shinsou work at the same agency and have like a flirty, banter type of relationship and they know each other for like over a year but since non of them ever voice that they would like to be more than friends, the reader starts to look around for a romantic relationship and meets someone else. so the flirty part of the relationship stops... but like in the end the reader and shinsou end up together :)

pairing: shinsou x reader

warning: none

it was not a smart idea to buy a hot coffee when it was already over 80 degrees. not only were you sweating, but the coffee was only making everything worse and, by God, why did you decide to wear a cardigan today?

"it's fine," you muttered to yourself as you pushed open the doors to your building, "I'll be nice and cold soon enough--plus, i got to see haru."

takahashi haru, the cute guy from the coffee shop, the dark eyed beauty, the nice-handed man with a plan. you'd met him a little over a month ago when you decided to try the new cafe on the corner. it was closer to the agency you worked at (which delighted you because, let's be honest, you weren't a fan of walking over fifteen minutes to your regular place) and they had a rather compelling drink advertised in the window when you first pasted by. entering the cute little cafe, blown away by how many people were already there, the last thing you were expecting was to make friends with the barista on the first day.

somehow you did and, a few weeks later, he asked you to go on a 'date' with him. well, you weren't quite sure if it was a date or not. he did ask you if you wanted to grab lunch sometime, but he never specifically said whether or not it was a date. that being said, you were stuck between having knots in your stomach and having utter confusion overwhelm you out of nowhere--cause, seriously, what did this guy want?

"hey, pretty girl," the call was so familiar that it was easy for you to give a quick response, barely thinking about it as you padded to your desk, lips twisted in a pout as your nose wrinkled.

should you wear nicer shoes? was he expecting you to wear something fancier thank normal? you sighed--why was this so hard?

"baby?" there was a sharpness to the voice now, one that signaled that the owner was more confused than anything. something in your guy lurched, your tongue feeling heavy in your mouth, and you swallowed hard. maybe...maybe going to the coffee shop and meeting haru wasn't the only thing that happened recently.

it wasn't your fault though! you tried to defend yourself from the onslaught of thoughts that pointed out the obvious. shinsou hitoshi had been your friend since your years at U.A.. while the two of you met in your junior year, you were fast friends and even ended working at the same hero agency. of course it was hard not to find shinsou attractive but you forced yourself not to think of him any differently. he was your friend--a friend who liked to flirt with you, and a friend you often wished was more than a friend. you bit your lip: could you still wish that now when haru had asked you out?

but, then again, did he?

"hey!" you spun around, clenching the cup in your hands, an obviously stretched and fake smile on your face. "how are you? good? good. we should get back to work now--"

"you're avoiding me." it was a statement. you bit your lip.

"no..." your voice wavered, and the sharp look shinshou gave you was enough for you to stop before you even started. "okay, fine. so there's this guy I met at the coffee shop and he asked me on a date; but, the thing is, i don't even know if it's a date! he just asked if i wanted to get lunch--and i do!"

"get lunch with me." shinsou merely said, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.

"what?" your mouth fell open in surprise, hands threatening to drop the cup. there was no way that shinsou--shinsou hitoshi, the guy you knew since high school, the guy who always flirted with you and who you wished asked you out--actually asked you out.

"do you not want to?" shinsou asked, "I'd like for it to be a date but, if you're not comfortable with that, we can just go as friends."

you blinked, "you want to go on a date with me?"

"yes," shinsou said, running a hand through his hair and you caught a faint glimpse of red highlighting his ears, "it's something i've been wanting since high school--you just always seemed to think i was joking."

"that's because you were joking!" you sputtered, and shinsou merely looked at you. "or, at least, i thought you were?"

a soft chuckle passed his lips and shinsou rolled his eyes with what you could only assume was affection, a light blush coating his cheeks. "well, to make it as clear as possible: y/l/n y/n, would you like to go on a date with me?"

"do you want me to wear something nice?"

yes.

"wear whatever you feel comfortable with."

you look beautiful in anything you wear.

guess you'd have to make it clear to haru that this lunch the two of you'd be having was strictly for two friends.

what type of dad's they are (toman edition)

baji: this man...istg you are gonna be taking care of three kids instead of two. i'm a firm believer that baji will have twins (no he's not dead, it's all a horrible nightmare) and he will just egg them on. you said no to cookies before dinner? mans will--just to spite you--give your little girls two. no staying up past 8? you can bet your ass that when you come downstairs at 2 am, the three of them will be curled up on the couch together, fast asleep with the tv playing some kid show. however, that doesn't mean he's a lenient dad. i can see him scolding them if they talk back to you or do something wrong--don't think that he let's them get away with everything all the time. it's every now-and-then. he just likes being the reason they smile and laugh and, well, and you can't find fault in that

mitsuya: you already know that this man's a pro. raising luna and mana was a piece of cake compared to your son--who certainly took after you. he's the calm dad, ya know? kid cuts his knee? mitsuya soothingly smiles as he cleans and bandages the wound. kid gets mad and throws a temper-tantrum? mitsuya calmly waits for the kid to calm down before speaking to him. if it's in a public place, he'll take him outside and the two will sit until your kid's ready to talk. bruh, he's so in love with the two of you. i honestly believe that he's the 'stricter' parent, but that's only because he's done this before. he's definitely the parent who likes to keep his kid close--like, always carrying him around and the amount of times you've come home to see the two of them fast asleep on the couch, your son laying on top his father. but, the sad thing is, mitsuya's not home that much. his job has him traveling and the time he has with his son and you is so limited...

chifuyu: mans is a weird mix between baji and mitsuya when it comes to your daughter. you bet your ass he loves taking her to work with him. when she was a baby, he'd have her kangaroo-pouched to his chest while he worked the register or sat in the office. he's a more lenient parent, but to a certain degree. sure, he likes sneaking her food when you say no and letting her stay up late, but he's also rather strict about when he'll do it. what i mean by this is that baji does it whenever--there's no schedule. but chifuyu will only do it on friday and/or saturday nights. he's definitely a clumsy dad: drops his daughters toys, forgets the diaper bag, accidentally slams the front door shut after you just put her to sleep, but dear lord does he love her. since he works everyday, he tends to ask you to send videos and photos of her to him during work (mitsuya does the same). if we're going off canon, he likes to take your daughter to baji's grave so she can spend time with her uncle. when she gets older, the two of them share yakisoba, leaving 1/3 for baji.

draken: i honest to god believe that draken's the no-nonsense dad. sure, he likes to have fun with his kids (a girl and boy) but at the same time, he doesn't want them to make the same mistakes he did. you're the fun parent and he's the strict one. it's you who's sneaking candy and treats to them when he says no. it's you who lets them stay up past their bedtime. to be honest, ii don't think draken cares that you're so lenient (aka: the 'fun' parent) because he knows that you love them and what you're doing makes them smile. now, ii say fun parent with some moderation because you're not the kind of parent (nor are any of the boys) who lets their kids run wild, you just let them have moments of fun. however, draken does love holding your kids. whenever you all visit him in the shop, he scoops them and carries them, one in each arm, around, showing them different things. at night, they like to curl either on top or next to him and fall asleep.
