an introduction to my writeblr!

hey, I'm stevie, and writeblr seems like the writing community I’ve been looking for for a while now :)

a little about me:

24 years old, she/her, sapphic
adhd with co-morbid depression/ptsd (which makes writing…hard)
I've been feeling discouraged with my writing lately and haven’t written much in months. I think writeblr will help~
right now, I mostly write fan fiction for the kpop group tomorrow x together (txt).
that said, while i’ll mostly reblog writing reference posts and positivity, I'll probably reblog some kpop stuff every so often. my fav groups are txt and bts :)
I have some original fic on the back burner (and some original fic ideas) that I'd love to get back to eventually
something about reading and writing lgbt romance really sparks joy
I love characters that feel real, with fears and dreams and depth, and I'm interested in attempting character/relationship studies to improve my character building
for a long time I put a lot of pressure on myself and I'm currently trying to enjoy writing while still learning and improving! it’s hard! :D

I’ll probably add some projects to this post as I get back into writing, but for now I'll leave it at that. feel free to message me — I'd love new writer friends! :D

walking into a café, secretly hoping they're there. and THEY ARE . better, if they're waiting FOR YOU.
"didn't you like this song before?" "you remembered." ✧｡✰*♡
forced to work together and there's vivid tension all around you both
cramped in an elevator and they shield you. DAMN IT
^ "a-are you comfortable?" " *exhales, vividly turning red and avoiding their gaze* yea-yeah, yeah. I'm fine."
they do a little extra when it's for you. a very small gesture, but speaks loud
knowing much about the other, so you don't have to say a word when you're down, they just know it and they acknowledge it. (RISE YOUR STANDARDS YALL)
always bickering.
bickering as fun and they inch closer to you. eyes flickering down to those lips.
TENSION. and avoiding to acknowledge it. JUST BECAUSE.
"were you thinking about me?" "huh-" "because i can't seem to stop thinking about you."
gasping when they pull you closer to dance with them.
^ "god, I've always wanted to do this with you."
at that stage were y'all are whipped. simping for each other, but. BUT DENYING IT. BECAUSE YOU'RE AFRAID THEY'LL BECOME A STRANGER IN YOUR LIFE AGAIN.
listening to them talk about how they've been, while you realise, you are indeed in love with them.
"i can't be around you." "Why?" ".. you know why. you just fail to accept it. recognize it."
"i admit. I've had feelings for you ever since you forced me into becoming your best friend in third grade-" "Fourth grade, you mean. AND- WHY. DIDNT U TELL ME??"
"i can't leave. I've found my home in you, i won't leave."

it's ok to write only for yourself
it's ok to not share your writing with the world
it's ok to want validation
it's ok to write self-indulgent stories
it's ok to write only one genre
it's ok to share your writing regardless of your skill
it's ok to praise your own writing
it's ok to abandon wips
it's ok if you don't write every day
it's ok if you write fanfiction (because people who claim it isn't real writing is wrong)
it's ok to use clichés
it's ok to have a bad day of writing
it's ok to be a slow writer
it's normal to have days in which you doubt the things you write, that doesn't mean you're a bad writer
it's ok to ask for feedback
it's ok to cringe at your old writing
it's ok to hype up your writing online
it's ok to celebrate your achievements

Repeat after me: I am a damn good writer. No one’s criticism of my work will deter or discourage me. I will never compare myself to others, as I am only in competition with myself. I can be as self indulgent and unrealistic as I want. I can be as realistic and thorough as I feel. There are no set rules to writing, only suggestions. Besides, if we all wrote the same, there would be no joy in reading.
