When you come home from work, you don't expect to see Mingi at home. You also don't expect to see him swaddled under a soft baby pink blanket. "Mingi? What are you doing home already?"
Mingi sniffs loudly and that's all the answer you need. "Got sent home sick," he groans, clearly annoyed. "It's not even that bad!"
You laugh shortly, hanging up your coat to go place a hand on his forehead. "Yeah, it may not be bad now, but it'll get worse if you keep going to work. The faster you heal, the faster you can go back." You absentmindedly brush your fingers through his short hair. "Let's get you some soup, okay?"
Mingi flops back on the couch, closing his eyes and for a moment you think he might've fallen asleep. "Okay," he mutters in a small voice after a moment. "Thanks, babe."
Before you leave to go to the kitchen, you poke him with your foot and offer a comforting smile. "Hey…the pink blanket's a good look---maybe you can use that for your next comeback."
Mingi peeks over the blanket to give you the stink eye and that's your cue to leave, laughing as you dodge his swat.
