actually I went to queue this without commentary, but it needs to be added: the author of the comic is a trans man. the accusations against him are, specifically, that he's "not really" a man, and that's where the pearl clutching about him "sexualizing homosexual relationships" comes from. he's not really a man, so he can't write about two men having sex, he's just a woman fetishizing gay men.

I get so immensely sad whenever I see how Twitter vilified Ray. He is a trans man from Indonesia and I've been keeping up with Boyfriends for a long time. It's an extremely wholesome series that has lately had one of the polycule question their gender, and also had the boys navigate through childhood trauma and learn to communicate.
There's only implied sexual themes but even if there was more explicit stuff, that really doesn't matter. What matters is that people bullied a trans person of color for "fetishizing" men. I've heard that there are official names for the boys in the webtoon, but I'm so used to calling them Goth, Prep, Nerd, and Jock that it honestly feels weird.
Anyway! Everyone go read Boyfriends on Webtoon! We're on S2 now!
