The door, which was three feet away from Matt, opened with an ear scratching squeal. Hurried clicks of your heels filled the deathly still room with life for a moment. He waited patiently as you calmed your breathing, listening to the way your blood flow turned to normal. Your fingers brushed your hair back and the smell of your cologne filled his lungs. A felicitous smile planted on his lips.
“Sorry, I’m late,” you whispered, carefully pulling the chair beside him. You studied his side profile, his soft brown eyes hidden under his glasses, his nose under them and to his lips that formed into a smile. You mimicked it unbeware.
