All I want to do is make a post of pictures of Paul making this face, but I’m failing because it’s a weirdly hard facial expression to search on Google Images. “Paul McCartney scrunchy face” got me … well, just this one, actually.

YES FOUND ONE. (Not my gif, apologies.)

(please feel free to ADD ANY YOU FIND!! I’m starting a collection here, it’s just … off to a slow start.)

You guys are doing GREAT and I thank you PROFUSELY. <3

Search terms now in my history as a result of trying to find more of these: “Paul McCartney wince,” “Paul McCartney pout” (that one was AWESOME), “Paul McCartney embarrassed smile,” “Paul McCartney making a face,” “Paul McCartney making a face with a guitar” (since it seems to often be his “whoops, I made a mistake” face …)

Anyway …

Ha, I believe you’re looking for this! That smuggish, nose wrinkled smile…

I don’t think Google can be very efficient at this task (matching words that describe the visual content with the actual visual content), but it must be capable of some weird sort of mind-reading. A while later, given an entirely different task with Mr. McCartney, it came up with this  x)

Yes, LOVELY! You know exactly the one I’m after. :3 (that’s the emoji version)

I found it again this morning whilst looking for another gif. (Amusingly, this one was my gif to begin with! I knew I needed it even before I needed it!)

(I think it’s harder to find still pictures of it because he does it so fast.)

Oh and here’s an amazing one that macca-daisy added earlier, with the excellent and accurate caption “a little scrunch, but scrunch nonetheless.” AGREED. (They’re good scrunches, Brent.)

Paul watches the eclipse.  Yoko watches the eclipse in suitable arty pose. Ringo photoshops himself as the eclipse.

Ringo wins.
