Emily Young Headcanon
- Emily Young was raised on the Makah rez but the Quileute rez was her second home
- She spent most of her time on the beach with Leah Clearwater and Rachel Black, searching for shells and just being
- When she was fifteen, her cousin Leah revealed to her that she was bisexual. She was attracted to both men and women.
- Emily was the first person she told
- “Leah... I love you. No matter who you love!”
- Emily meets Sam but doesn’t think much of it
- Until Leah blurts out that she is dating Sam
- ...except she’s not. Sam is her friend... and beard.
- Emily thinks it ridiculous. Sue and Harry won’t care but Leah is adamant
- Leah eventually comes out to her parents and Sam and her return to ‘friends’
- She moves to the rez and starts her own business - either baked goods or homemade items like candles, quilts, wax melts, bags etc. (all made from sustainable materials)
- Sam helps and Emily notices just how handsome he is and everything he does for the people of the tribe
- But she can’t date him can she?
- With a little encouragement from Leah she can
- Her store is the talk of the town; her products are such high quality and she donates a profit from each item to different causes
- Sam and she move in together. Their small house is never empty, there’s always someone sat at the table, eating, talking, relaxing
- She never thought she could be this happy
