3-Page Writing Critiques for Winston (pay what you can donation)

Hi folks! As I posted in my last video, my family’s rescue bulldog, Winston (2) was recently hospitalized and had to undergo emergency surgery. He’s back home now and in recovery, but since hospital/surgery costs were high, I want to do whatever I can to help contribute to the bill and his future care.

I’m offering 3-page in-line critiques (can be from a story, novel, or up to 3 poems, but no NSFW please!) for a pay-what-you-can donation (no minimum, it can literally be $1!). Me? Outlining a fantasy trilogy in the most chaotic way possible? It’s more likely than you’d think!

Being a mixed kid is being haunted by the scene in Voltron when Lotor and Allura both have to take that test with the White Lion. Allura passes because she was raised with the ideals of her father and the Alteans, choosing to sacrifice herself for the sake of knowledge and the greater good. Lotor though— who wanted so badly to pass, who was the one who endlessly studied Altean lore and history and tried to employ the rational compassion the Alteans valued— he couldn’t pass the test. He couldn’t pass because the Galran culture and knee-jerk reaction to a challenge was so ingrained in him. “Victory or death.” Lotor was just Altean enough that he had spent his life being treated as less than other Galra because of his half-Altean heritage and physical attributes, and just Altean enough to be marked as Chosen and allowed into Oriande, but just Galran enough to be rejected because he had grown up in a culture so different and toxic that he couldn’t possibly pass the Lion’s test. He was never going to be accepted fully anywhere.
