Blog update

Happy new year, everyone!

I’m pleased to confirm I’ve (finally!) fixed the all themes page so people browsing can once again filter my themes by characteristics.

I hope to revamp some themes soon and update the codes, so watch this space!

I’ve also freshened up my look, I hope it makes it easier to browse.

Take care, everyone.

Just a note

Hello!

I’m still floating around--to say I’m active on Tumblr would be a lie, but I still float around. For theme support, it’s best to contact me by ask rather than by message as I get a notification through asks but I don’t through message.

I’ve updated my all themes page but it’s not as great as it was--I might do it properly at some point, but the problem was caused by tinypic closing down, which is where I used to host my images. I’m hoping to redo it properly at some point.

I’ve noticed Tumblr’s done another lovely update so my themes might not be saving when you paste them in due to the https thing. All you need to do is go into the code, ctrl + f and find and replace http:// with https:// and then ctrl + f to find httpss:// and turn these into https://

This will allow you to save the theme until I have gone through and replaced all 50+ of my codes! Thanks, Tumblr.

Thank you to everyone who still uses my themes--it’s a real honour! I might go back to this at some point, but life has taken me in a different direction for now.

Until we speak next, keep safe!

Theme 24, perfect lullaby. I think I may have run into this issue before but I'm having issues getting the title font to what I want. I've used it on one of my previous blogs, and somehow the code there has it set up so I can choose from the basic tumblr title fonts, which is useful because I want to use the 1785 Baskerville font. However, on my new blog, I can't figure out how to do it. Is there a way to fix that?

Hi lovely, sorry for the huge delay in getting back to you.

So if you ctrl + f to find “ /**THEME STUFF**/ “ (without quotes)

Underneath there, there’s a paragraph starting with #title

A few lines down, there’s something that says ‘font-family’ - I’m slightly rusty as I haven’t coded in so long but I believe you can change this to say something like:

font-family: ‘Baskerville’;

And it should change the font... hope that helps! If not, please do let me know and I’ll try to get back to you quicker.

https:// error

Hi everyone,

Sorry for being absent for so long and thank you to everyone who has sat tight while I’ve looked into this.

It appears a while ago Tumblr banned themes with http:// links in them, so I have gone through all of my themes, codes, etc. and replaced http:// with https://

If you get an error when editing your theme, please make sure your code is up-to-date - the Pastebin links remain the same, so it’s just a matter of finding the right Pastebin link and pasting this updated code over your existing code.

I don’t know how this will affect scripts such as infinite scroll. Hopefully it should be okay, but if anyone encounters any problems, please do let me know.

Thanks again for bearing with!

Oh, okay, I just checked. It's 576.2 KB.

That’s really strange that your background won’t upload. Does it come up with an error message of any kind? I might be able to help you if you come off anon. I don’t bite, promise!

I'm not sure what you mean by 1MB... how would I check that?

If you’re using windows, you can just click on the file you want to upload in file explorer, and it should say at the bottom how many KB the file size is. There are 1,024KB in a MB so your file size should be less than that.

If you’re still stuck, there are alternate ways we can upload your background image.

Hello! :) I need some help with the Primus Lune theme. I'm trying to change the background, but it isn't changing at all.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your ask.

It’s odd that your background isn’t changing. Is the file you’re trying to change it to less than 1MB in size?

Hi, I am trying to use one of your redirect themes (rose red) and am wondering where I put it so that once it's redirected to my new url, the image will actually go away? Because as of right now if i try, the part that has "blank has moved to blank" remains and therefore blocks posts

Hi there, thanks for your ask.

The redirect theme is for when you’re saving a URL, e.g. if I vacated enchantinglythemes and wasn’t using it anymore but wanted to let people know to go to my new URL, I would just paste the redirect theme onto enchantinglythemes so people are redirected to my new URL. Hope that makes sense. The code is for a blog you’re no longer using.

so i'm trying to use your blog roll theme 1 but i've never coded before and I'm wondering how to insert photos and links into it?

Hi there, thanks for your ask.

You have to upload your photo somewhere online - you can do this as a private post on Tumblr or you can upload it somewhere like tinypic. (If you’ve never done this before, I suggest uploading it to tinypic.) Grab the image URL (on tinypic, this is called “direct link for layouts” or something). Then if you go into the blogroll theme, ctrl + f to find the following:

And paste your image URL in between the quotes. Depending on how the code has pasted for you, you might have to go through the code and retype all the “ but hopefully it’s okay.

So that’s your image.

With links, this code only really lets you have four links which are pre-chosen, but you could add them to your description using the follow template:

You can replace the

and

with if the spacing is too much for you.

Hope this helps!

Hello again! So I did what you suggested about the wonderstruck theme and it's working again now. All I had to do was just that imagebar option on and off a few times and then it started working. Thank you!

No worries! Glad I could help.

i'm trying to use your wonderstruck theme, it's gorgeous by the way, but I'm coming upon a little snag when I'm uploading the images on the image bar. The images I'm choosing are 125x125 however they're not uploading. I keep selecting the photos but when I check the site, the photos aren't showing up and they're less than 1 mb in size. Are there any suggestions you can give me?

Thank you so much!

Can I ask which browser you’re using? These themes are best viewed in Chrome. I tried out the theme on my test blog and my steps were as follows: switch the imagebar option off and then on again so I could see the purple background, and then upload each of the images. They have to be under 1,024kb, and the theme should resize them so they fit (i.e., they don’t have to be 125px^2 when you upload them, but they do have to be square in order to look good).

Hope this helps and if not, I might be able to help you if you come off anon - I could take a look at the code and see where it’s going wrong for you.

is it possible to add the flowing cherry blossoms to other themes of yours?

Hi, anon. Theoretically, yes - but I would rather add it myself as opposed to giving you instructions because it might be easier that way. Which theme would you like the blossoms to be added to?

You are using an unsupported browser and things might not work as intended. Please make sure you're using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
