Title: Corazón Fracturado
Summary: Jessie wants it known that she didn't intentionally set out to make things awkward for her Papi or Buck.
A/N: All thanks goes to my beta and my brain stormer buddie peeps.
Timeline wise, this takes place before Madney’s wedding but after Buck’s first few dates with Tommy.

Anyway, I am going to be even more annoying in my desire for some sort of season finale "we're in love, we still need time before we're ready to be together, but we're in love" resolution. It's been 84 years.
@dancing-mylife-away forgive me for taking this out of the replies to get on my soapbox for a moment, but literally this exactly. I have watched many a show and shipped many a m/f slowburn over the years and have therefore seen many a “first kiss several seasons before getting together” or “love confession but the timing isn’t right/there’s still something preventing them from being together” etc etc. So when I see takes that can be boiled down to “Buddie is a slow burn so therefore nothing can/should happen between them yet” I’m genuinely baffled, not because I’m trying to throw shade, but because I don’t understand where this idea comes from that anything happening = they must get together immediately/it’s the end of the slow burn when in my experience not only is that NOT usually what happens, but the interim period between something happening and getting together where the characters are Aware This Is A Possibility but are holding back for whatever reason is SO fun.
What if instead of the tsunami, we have just fun day with the family. Nothing bad happens.
Did I just binge this show in three months and become obsessed, yes. Did I get a sudden urge to sketch these idiots and their son, also yes.
idk something like this
i really like looking at google image searches for “firemen rescuing cats” or something because you get super cute pictures like
AND THEN THERE’S THIS ONE
“THAT’S RIGHT TWAS I that set the house ablaze!!!”
Dying.
Every fucking time I know what’s at the bottom and every time I still lose my shit.
I’m so happy this post is back again asdlkfjsa
HAPPY TEN YEARS TO “TWAS I THAT SET THE HOUSE ABLAZE”
@tygerblaze replied to your post “One day, the fic I tell myself is gonna be a...”:
Me two days ago 🤣
And have you now got to The Point ™ or is it still out there somewhere?!
Almost haha. Lets see if future me remembers.
I'm just going to say this.
Every single queer person involved in making 911? The ones who were in the trenches at Fox all those years? We see you, we are so sorry, and we love you. Because the kind of demeaning culture that tried to keep Buck and Eddie's love story from coming to light? Never stays just in the realm of fiction. It trickles all the way down, into everything. We are furious right along with you, for all of the real life queer people who were harmed in very real ways.
Thank you for holding it down for Buck and Eddie and for all of us queers. You were determined to tell a love story anyway, come hell or high water. We see your tenacity and your creativity and your talent. And we appreciate the hell out of you.
honestly. for anyone involved with show to be like "I watch the same show, I don't think buddie fans are wrong" is sooo??? fucking??? validating.
i’ve got you
#another reason to hate Fox
i just wanna thank all the gif makers on here. y'all really keep this site alive and we don't freaking deserve you. thank you for all your hard work. tumblr is nothing without you.
BUCK AND EDDIE 2x01: Under Pressure
The way I thought I had come to terms with the S4 finale and the abrupt about-face with BT after Taylor explicitly friendzoned Buck not two episodes earlier and the terrible pacing and the way Eddie was barely in it despite what had felt like an obvious Buddie setup…nope turns out the burning rage in my heart is as alive as it was the day it aired.
