“My panic is rising again. My sense of isolation and worthlessness. And no other senses worth mentioning apparently. It’s not nice being inside my head. It’s a nice place to visit but I don’t want to live here. It’s too crowded; too many traps and pitfalls. I’m tired of it. That same old person, day in and day out. I’d like to try something else. I tried to neaten my mind, file everything away into tidy little thoughts, but it only got more and more cluttered. My mind has a mind of its own. I try to define my limits by seeing just how far I can go, and I find that I passed them weeks ago. And I’ve got to find my way back.” -  Carrie Fisher

Just a friendly reminder that I would never have thought it was possible to go back and remake my previous work, uncovering lost art and forgotten gems along the way, if you hadn’t emboldened me. Red is about to be mine again, but it has always been ours. Tonight we begin again. Red (my version) is out now.

RIP Helen McCrory (1968-2021)

I don’t think I’ve ever been interested in any play about the happy, successful, lighter moments of life. I think that’s a very modern, pervasive idea in our entertainment, whether it’s on Instagram or in fiction, to show only the good and the perfect side of yourself. It’s just a lie and it’s very dull, and it’s nothing that anyone should even strive for.

I just found out that the beautiful Helen McCrory past away yesterday. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken. As some of you know, she was a huge inspiration for me and one of the reasons I used to be so active on this blog. Rest in Peace to an amazingly talented, smart, funny, and incredible lady <3

RANDOM FACTS: Stevie Nicks and Carrie Fisher are both 5′1″. They both shot to superstardom in 1977 when Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours and Star Wars were released, becoming respectively the best-selling album and highest grossing film of all time up to that point.
