Blurry, but rad. My mom found this pic of me circa 1995. This was one show, and we swept because we had top placements in every class with different dogs. Dog training has always been a part of my life. In this picture, each of those dogs belonged to different neighbors. When my dog Lucky (not pictured) started winning and moving up into more advanced classes, I needed a new dog to work on. Getting a puppy wasn’t an option, so I offered to train my neighbors dogs for trade. I did this every year until I had five killer performers and we would just have the best day of our lives and CLEAN UP at each show. The one on the far left (Alex), belonged to a neighbor who had a limousine business and I got free limo service for all Homecoming, Prom, and sometimes just to school. I loved when people spotted me being dropped off early by a limo and thought I was secretly rich. Those were fun rumors! Here’s to entrepreneurs, of all ages. Microblading update! Five days in. Scabbing and cracking is in full effect. SEXAH! They are itchy and the blonde hairs are growing through all of it, making for a heck of a no-scratch challenge. There’s fresh scar tissue over the ink, making them appear lighter and faded. Once the scabs fall off (love that phrase, esp when it comes to my face LOL), the scar tissue will ease and the pigment of the ink will come through. Once it all chills out, we can see what needs to be addressed in the touch up appointment. I’ve included a link (courtesy of Amourena Tsokatos (Ammunition)) re the healing process if you’re curious! I’m am SO FREAKING STOKED to be attending the Sisters in Skydiving boogie at the end of the month at one of my FAVORITE drop zones, @skydivearizona ! Microblading update! Three days in. Scabbing has started (gross/awesome) and they are looking GORGEOUS. I’ve been honoring the aftercare sheet, using make up wipes to clean my face, avoiding the brows. No sweating (workouts have been paused) or splashing face in shower (tough, but only for first two days). Soon, they’ll lighten and narrow a tad. A few weeks from now, I’ll return for a touch up session. I’ve been drawing on my brows for 20 years and it’s really neat to be able to just not think about it anymore. No more hats brushing off a brow after a hug. No more helmets smudging my forehead and then transferring a brown smear to my face the next time I wear it. No more pulling on an outfit with a tight neckline, only to spend MORE TIME fixing my make up. UGH. This is such a gift for when I go swimming, or just wake up. I can also just put make up on over the healed brows if I wanna go dramatic and switch it up for a shimmer brow- WOOT. I also liked working with Jen on the shape. They are a tad higher and more open than my natural brow placement, which is EXACTLY where and how I wanted them. Gotta say, I am LOVING them. Fulfilled on a longtime desire to get my brows microbladed today! I saw the great work @_jendoetattoos did on @missammunition and made an appointment! I highly recommend going to Jen, as she was great to work with and knows her stuff.
