I wish Joshua from Seventeen would get some more love! He’s so cute and I love his singing. It’s crazy how different he sounds when he’s talking. Also, I hate that he doesn’t get much screen time in a lot of different activities. It’s hard to find content on him lol
Someone please tell kpop fans that you can’t have a ‘head cannon’ about real people, it’s creepy af, no matter how you try to justify it. You can have beliefs (delusional or not) about idols, but you can only have head cannons about fictional characters. To have one about a person is like denying that they’re a real, autonomous person.
The fact that Rap Monster is so openly LGBT+ friendly and supportive and talks about/recommends LGBT+ movies/books/artists gives me so much comfort. Being a member of the community and liking kpop is so emotionally draining sometimes that it’s a relief when someone like him comes along.
Hansol from topp dogg is one of the creative people I’ve ever seen. If you look at his choreographies you can really see how talented he is. Plus his MaryKiko persona is amazing, i love how he wrote a whole story for it. PLEASE LET HANSOL BE ON HIT THE STAGE 2 i really want him to show everyone what hes made of.
I’ve seen people say that EXO aren’t ‘real artists’ as a way to bring them down because they don’t compose or write lyrics for their own songs. But Chen, Chanyeol and Baekhyun have written lyrics for several songs on the new album. Kai and D.O participated in lyrics for XOXO. Lay composed Promise, he has self composed, self written album (he even translated it himself). That argument became invalid years ago, the only issue they have is SM not giving them opportunities to show it.
There’s a difference between being sexy bc you want to and being it bc you have to, and I wish all stans alike would understand that (bg stans cuz they have a higher tendency to slut shame and gg stans bc sexy = empowering no matter what a lot of the time). SISTAR was sexy bc they wanted to be. Never have a seen a kpop girl group as strong and as sexy as SISTAR. Stellar is sexy bc they’re forced to be. the girls have said so many times how much they dislike it, but it’s what makes them money.
While it is amazing that there are so many of our favourite idols who also write and produce music, I feel like there are some of you out there that forget that song writing and music producing is AN ACTUAL CAREER. There are people that don’t aspire to be performers themselves, but more to be the people behind the scenes. Whatever their reason - they could be tone deaf, suffer stage fright, or simply just want to work behind the scenes - this is their bread and butter. This is how they make money and support themselves. Please remember this in the back of your head whenever you go to diss a girl group or boy group that are mostly known for buying music, rather than writing music. Because at the end of the day, they too are helping someone fulfil their dream, and or helping someone with their career. Have a little more respect for that.
