Hey guys, I’m sorry to have done that thing to everyone again where I started a bunch of new threads and then vanished. I planned to come back- like I always do- but then life happened, and, well, long story short I think I’m going to put this blog on hiatus. But it’s for a good reason, really! I have so much going on in my life- work has been very busy, plus I adopted a new kitten who has needed a lot of care- and I don’t have time for roleplay anymore, at least not for the foreseeable future.

So, sorry to do that to you. If you guys ever want to talk to me out of character, my DMs are always open.

Here’s a picture of my kitten (Freddy) with my and my roommate’s beagle (Gracie) to make it up to you all a little.

Love you all and talk to you soon, I hope!

LeFou: The laws of God and man are very clear. No man can compel another man to fight.

Gaston: The laws of my fist are about to compel your teeth.

Gil was currently sitting at the docks in Auradon, missing his adopted fathers. It’s been months since he’s seen them and it was hurting him greatly. He was wishing they were allowed in Auradon.

Lefou is in a similar position on the Isle, sitting by the window of his house and staring out to the barrier. He worries for Gil, but more than anything he’s happy his son is finally safe and sound.

Lefou gazes out the window, full of both excitement and anxiety and waiting for their entrance to Auradon.

Ben met them in the back and motions for them to follow. “I have a small house for you that I asked Harry to lead Gil to.”

Gil was blindfolded and couldn’t hear anything as he was lead to the house. “Is this a prank?!”

Lefou had to repress the urge to call back out to Gil as he heard his voice approach. He kept quiet until Gil entered, and then rushed to his side, wrapping him in a tight hug, “Gil!” he gasped out, unable to believe it was real despite the boy being right in front of him.

The blindfold was removed along with the headphones when Lefou runs up to him. Gil sobs out as he hugs back, falling to his knees. “Papa! Papa!” He cries out, burying his face in his shoulder.

Lefou beams at Gil, falling down with him as his arms stay around his son’s shoulders. “Gil!” he whispers, voice breaking as tears of his own start to fall. “It’s really you...”

Lefou frowned for a moment, and then blinked in realization. “Ah. I forgot about the magic rules,” he said apologetically. “Sorry, then.” Awkwardly he looked down.

“It’s fine. Really. I appreciate it,” he murmured with a tiny smile.

Lefou laughed softly. “Well, thank you, friend,” he said, shifting the weight on his feet. “Well, then. Want me to show you around?”

Sorry I’ve been so slow. Will reply later this week! Work’s been kinda draining all my energy. For the last four weeks I’ve picked up an extra shift.

His gaze seemed to grow more intense as LeFou refused his demand. Gaston’s jaw clenched tightly at the refusal, though his world was far too blurred in the moment for him to actually act upon his anger accurately. His intoxication was beginning to influence his senses now.

The hunter reached forward once more, his large hand grasping a bit helplessly at the smaller’s shirt and bow. He simply grabbed onto whatever he could in the moment, roughly tugging LeFou closer to him. The familiar smell of ale was heavy on his breath as he looked upon the other.

“And exactly what food do you suggest?” Gaston nearly growled, pressing his face closer as a means of drunken intimidation. If he had little sense of personal space before, he truly lost all sense of it now. “Since you know all now.”

Lefou felt the strange mixture of fear for himself and concern for Gaston pulse through him. Just as much as he wanted to defend himself, he wanted to help his friend, save him from whatever demon had taken residence inside him.

“Gaston,” Lefou whispered, setting a hand on Gaston’s shoulder. “Gaston, please. I’m not your enemy here. I’m just trying to help. What you’re doing, it’s unhealthy... surely you see that?” He smiled, both nervous and hopeful. “Come on. We’ll get some bread... then you can sleep.”

Stanley opens his eyes blearily, gazing around his unfamiliar surroundings, and shakes his head. “No… What should I be remembering?”

Avatar

“You don’t remember the car accident?” Lefou asks one more time, hoping he had just heard that incorrectly as he leans over the hospital bed.

“C-can you tell me your name, or mine?”

“Uh-uh…” Stanley shakes his head, one hand pressed to his side, hissing in pain. “Nothing… just… hurts…” He cringes and presses his other hand to his head.

Lefou quietly lets the words sink in as his world comes crashing down on top of him. Has his worst fear really come to pass? He’s experienced several nightmares of being forgotten by Stanley and sometimes other loved ones before, all with him waking up to Stanley comforting him by telling him it was only a bad dream.

Except this time, it isn’t.

Lefou suddenly becomes dizzy, and his sight darkens. He closes his eyes and holds his head in his hands, partly to steady himself physically, partly emotionally. Not before turning away to make sure Stanley can’t see how upset he is though. Tears escape his eyes and find freedom on the cold floor as he works on steadying his breath.

How utterly selfish of him.

“I-I’m going to go see if the doctor can…treat you for your pain.” He tells the other with a strained voice, then quickly yet unsteadily walks out.

Stanley can tell that his words are upsetting the other man. That much is obvious, even though he has no memory of who the man is.

But whether he knows him or not, he hates the idea of the man being distressed, and so he looks at him for a long moment, trying to decide how best to comfort him.

“W-Wait... You-” he gasps, wishing he had a name he could call out. “Come back. Please come back.” He grunts in pain, clenching his eyes shut. “It- don’t be- please.”

The boy kept muttering, ‘I’ll try, I’ll try.”

Neither were particularly strong, but Deux did manage to use a nearby ledge for leverage. He managed to pull LeFou up to his feet, while trying not to panic.

“Home’s that way, I think- our home, with the tent? That home, it’s that way.” He held his arm around his father’s back, leading him.

“D-Deux,” Lefou gasped out, gritting his teeth against the pain. He nearly collapsed again, despite leaning his weight against the nearest wall. “Deux... please... stay calm...” He closed his eyes for a long moment. “Don’t... panic... okay?”

“I…I don’t even know where to begin.” Lefou sighed, then coughed harshly. He was sure at least a few of his ribs were fractured or broken, but it wasn’t anything that he didn’t deserve.

“…I know him best. I should have done more. I should have tried to reason with him. And because I didn’t, he’s dead. Maurice is, well, beyond traumatized – and ill. So many people are hurt. And I allowed it. Look what I did.” He tried to keep his voice from wavering as unwanted tears escaped his eyes, but failed. As always.

Stanley shook his head, smile falling a bit. “No, I haven’t done enough...” he said, voice quiet. “I let him hurt you. You can say I don’t have to apologize, but... I could have... I should have known Gaston might put you in danger.” Stanley pursed his lips, angry at himself. “It wasn’t your rightful consequence... you deserved no such thing happening to you.”

I'm worried about my mom... She has some stuff going on and they think it's her kidneys and maybe adrenal glands... the C word is being brought up as a possibility. :(

When Deux felt something warm and wet against his hand, he pulled it away. He recognized the substance- blood.

“DAD- What did they DO to you, DAD?! Who did it- Who did it, I’ll get them, I know you don’t want me to, but I have to, don’t I? Don’t I?”

He was panicking, not knowing what to do or how to help. He started to realize he was shouting, screaming… “They’re going to find us!”

Lefou let out a tiny gasp, trying to answer the questions but overwhelmed by pain. He struggled on the ground, every motion causing shockwaves to crash through his body.

“D-D-Deux...” he managed, voice a hoarse whisper. “Shh... just... l-listen...” He gritted his teeth, fighting with himself to stay awake. He had to, for Deux’s sake. “We... just... have to... get home... okay?” He let out another pained breath. “H-Help... me... up...”

Upon seeing his father, collapsed and immobile- the boy couldn't help but panic. He knew he couldn't scream or while too loudly. It was dangerous on the Isle, and he'd give away the fact that he snuck off from frollo again. But he did grasp onto LeFou and shiver, muttering into his ear for him to just wake up... (Deux)

Lefou stirred, a faint groan escaping him. “Deux...?” he whispered, a hand pressing against his throbbing, bloody chest. “Deux, they- they didn’t- are you hurt?” He tried to push himself up, and then cried out, collapsing back to the ground.
