       she hates playing messenger --- taking on the ability of a sparking telephone wire to communicate between two different parties. it sounds a lot better when she puts it that way in her head. in all reality, she was playing mediator, messenger, and adult in the middle of two conflicting juveniles. "i never said i was taking a side. i just said that you should hear them out. come with me and we can settle all of this once and for all."
