👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you.

What I like about this... Dylan is probably the only character Alison Graham doesn’t hate. Kudos to Will for standing up to the woman and maybe mucking up that lenient treatment. Good to see a bit of fightback though. And from Michael Stevenson too. I don’t know what upset Maddy so badly but I have to love the loyalty they have both shown to her

anyways if you believe that this storyline with Ciara and her miscarriage are there for anything other than Dylan’s manpain, you are sorely mistaken. This storyline is not and has never been about her, it’s solely been about Dylan

That reads like a sexist assumption you have projected onto the show. 🤔

It’s a hospital show. Patients matter. That’s the point. Ciara matters. People will be watching this who have gone through it themselves. Same as the episode before with the woman who had multiple miscarriges. How the show deals with the loss matters a great deal to them. You could see that on social media where it opened wounds.

What I mean here though is that it looks odd to dismiss the feelings of the characters you don’t think are significant in order to accuse the writers of being sexist.

Did you really not care about Ciara in those scenes?

remember when Casualty had storylines like Dixie trying to adopt instead of a woman miscarrying her baby for manpain

Do you think Ciara doesn’t feel pain about losing a baby, or that it doesn’t matter if she does?

That’s putting it starkly but it looks like you’re simply ignoring Ciara’s feelings. She’s never been listed with the guest actors, and even if she had been, she is as ‘real’ as any of them. But she’s up with the main cast whenever she is in an ep and I don’t feel comfortable dismissing her as a conduit for ‘manpain’. Belinda Stewart Wilson has given the character a big presence, so Ciara and Dylan are equal in this.

I can’t watch that story and not care about her predicament
