ultimately inconsequential but big pet peeve of mine when it comes to bethesda fallouts: naming. so many npcs don't have names, or don't have first & last names. every human companion in fnv has a first and last name. a lot of minor characters have first and last names! and a lot of characters have fun names that tell you something about them - ranger ghost, arcade gannon, calamity, fantastic, most of the legion guys tbh. meanwhile you can sleep with cait and danse without ever learning their last/first names.

How long until passing discourse spirals into “non-passing trans people have cis privilege bc people interpret them as their birth gender”

I already see this (or something like it) all the time with nonbinary people, especially if they're "non-transitioning" (sidenote: I really hate the phrase "non-transitioning" ; in my experience people often use it to imply that medical transition is more significant than social transition). Feminine nonbinary people assumed to be AFAB and masculine nonbinary people assumed to be AMAB are often seen as "gender-conforming" and "basically cis." I've even seen people claim that they shouldn't be considered part of the trans community because they "don't transition in any meaningful way" and they therefore "live life exactly like a cis person." I hate it so much.

I'm very tired of this "queer college students should stop supporting Palestine, they'd kill you there!" I watched a hijabi ask a trans man, "but what name do you want to go by?" A butch giving a woman their hoodie so that she could keep her hair covered after the cops took her scarf. Muslim girls making sure the lesbian couple got through the system together. Religious men making sure green haired protestors got out safe. A Palestinian girl with an ex-southern baptist fiance, who definitely isn't a practicing Muslim, whose parents were raising hell for her. I don't want to hear it. Solidarity forever, free Palestine.
