Hey guys! Here’s a little preview of a fanfic that I wrote for the @globalsorcererfanzine!

Summary: For Nashi’s birthday this year she wants to go on her first real job with her parents and Happy! And the one that they picked seems simple enough at first, but they soon discover that even with all their skills, it’s not exactly smooth-sailing when you have a kid to keep track of too.
Preview:
As the sun rose in Magnolia everything was peaceful. The birds were chirping, a few roosters crowed to welcome the morning light, and a loving couple in a quaint cottage in the forest were soundly sleeping in each other’s arms with a blue cat curled up on top of the blanket at their feet. Everything was tranquil and serene until a little girl peeked at the couple over the footboard of their bed and then proceeded to jump on top of them, waking them and the cat from their sleep with a shout of surprise and then groaning from being woken up so early.
“Nashi what gives?” The blue cat asks as he rubs his eyes. “It’s too early in the morning for this!”
“I’m sorry Happy.” Nashi apologizes. “I’m just so excited for my birthday that I don’t want to waste a single minute of sunlight!”
“Aw that’s very cute sweetie but mommy’s gonna take five more of those minutes for herself to sleep okay?” Her mother says before laying her head back down on the pillow.
“Aw come on Lucy! We’ve got plenty of time to sleep tonight! It’s our daughter’s special day, let’s celebrate it how she wants.” Her father says.
Lucy sighed and then sat up and rubbed her eyes.
“Oh, alright. I guess it couldn’t hurt to get up a little earlier today.” Lucy says and stretches her arms.
“It is a very special day after all.” Lucy says and pinches Nashi’s cheeks.
“You bet! Today’s the day I get to go on my first job with you and daddy!” Nashi happily cheers.
“Wait what?!” Lucy and Natsu exclaim at the same time.
“Since when did we say you could go on a job with us?” Lucy asks her daughter.
“Since I asked to go on one with you for my birthday last year but you said I was still too young so you promised that we could do one together next year and now today’s the day!” Nashi reminds them.
“Oh wow, I didn’t think you’d remember that since it was so long ago.” Lucy says.
“You’re really growin’ up aren’t ya?” Natsu says.
He picks Nashi up and tosses her in the air before catching her and snuggling her against his bare chest while she laughs.
“I guess that means you can come on a job with us today then.” Natsu says.
“Yeah, we did make it a promise after all.” Lucy adds.
“Yay!” Nashi cheers.

It was a quiet Christmas morning. The apartment was still, all that could be heard was the quiet snores of the two men sleeping. Well, according to Freed, Laxus is the one who snores, not him.
Freed woke to Laxus’ strong, safe arms holding him close for warmth. He smiled at the blond man, he’s chest swelling with affection.
A snippet of my entry for the @globalsorcererfanzine . I feel so honoured that they gave me this opportunity.
Gray’s thoughts wandered off to the other days when he would wake up to Juvia’s sweet morning calls and the first sight to bless his eyes would be her – wearing his shirt (which was way too large for her) – as she winded her hair into a bun on the top of her head. And he would grasp her wrist and pull her back into him, caging the blushing girl in his strong arms while she would cutely whine and struggle to get out of his embrace.
