My name is Joseph, he/him.  I'm 23 years old and in possession of a degree in English Literature (hold your applause, please).  This blog is mostly reblogs and not terribly interesting. Feel free to reblog from my "personal" tag unless it's under a "read more."

Governments, if they endure, always tend increasingly toward aristocratic forms. No Government in history has been known to evade this pattern. And as the aristocracy develops, government tends more and more to act exclusively in the interests of the ruling class – whether that class be hereditary royalty, oligarchs of financial empires, or entrenched bureaucracy.

ELRIC AT THE FORGE OF FOREVER by Michael Whelan

The second installment in his 2019 LEFTOVERS & PALETTE GREMLINS gallery project

When I tossed out the old container of paints used to do the cover painting for “Words of Radiance”, it landed upside down in my wastebasket on a piece of paperboard I had been using as a palette for something else. The smears of color later caught my eye and motivated me to fish the board out. Intrigued by the possibilities, I saved it to make into this little painting.
