Dwarf fortress Adventure mode Dialog Tech got pretty advanced to the point where one could convince Demon Masters into giving up their Title and join you as a companion. The addition to the Affection system means one could just get a demon to love you enough to think of you as kindred spirits. On top of that doing the stuff above might make it so you could make them playable in fort mode through series of getting them to join the military and sending them off on a mission which on arrival will give them labors so they can work at your fort.

Dwarf Fortress is coming to Steam as a paid edition! What does this mean for us?

Well, I want to first of all state that the tileset in the trailer will be able to be turned off (thank Armok), and hopefully this will generate a renewed interest in Dwarf Fortress globally.

As for the pair’s reasoning - being the increased concern for healthcare - it is a palpable one. Being from Australia, I’ve not had to struggle with paying for healthcare too much. I’ll be purchasing a large sum of copies, either to giveaway on the blog or to friends just to help the two.
