I woke up at around 3:00 AM. Eddie sat there, looking traumatized.
“(Y/N).” He whispered. “You need to go home.”
“I’m not leaving you.”
“They’re going to find her at my house. You are in the clear.”
“Like I said, I’m not leaving you.”
“(Y/N). I’m not asking.” He demanded. “Go home. I need you to go home and act like nothing happened. If anyone asked, I went to visit my uncle on his business trip.”
“Eddie.” I whispered.
“Hello Mr. Carver.” My dad said as he welcome his boss inside. “This is my wife, (Y/M/N), my daughter (Y/N) and her boyfriend Eddie.”
“Please call me Jackson.” His boss said. “It’s very nice to meet you all. This is my wife Kathy and our son Jason.”
They all walked in. The parents went to the kitchen, leaving us alone with Jason.

Eddie opened his truck door and helped me into my seat.
“Lost my keys a while back.” Eddie laughed. “This is how I start my car.”
“Wow, what a man.” I smiled.
“You know what I’m most excited for?” Eddie asked.
“Tell me.”
“Some buttered popcorn.”
“Ooo, me too.” I smiled. “Maybe some cotton candy?”
“Even better.”
We arrived at the drive in and found a good spot.
“Wanna go sit outside for a bit before the movie starts?”
“Sure.”
I gave Eddie a kiss before I left to go back home. When I walked in, my parents were not happy.
“Where have you been?” My mom asked.
“I told you I was sleeping at Chrissy’s. You said it was okay.”
“You told us you would call once you got back to her place. We were up all night worried that something happened to you!” My mom yelled. “We couldn’t even call Chrissy’s house because you never left her number.”
“I’m sorry.” I sighed. “We just got home late and were super tired. We passed out instantly.”
“You should have called us.” My dad said. “You’re grounded.”
The next day I was forced to help my parents finish unpacking. I took a quick break and walked outside.

The next morning I told Chrissy everything.
“And.... you kissed him?” She giggled.
“I did. And it was amazing.” I sighed.
“OMG! How cute!?”
We got up and got ready to go to school. As we walked in, I was met with something I wasn’t expecting.
“You saw me with Chrissy so you cancelled our date?” Eddie asked. “Do you know how fucking crazy that sounds?”
I ran home and got ready for my busy night ahead. As I was putting on my makeup, I didn’t know who I was dressing up for. The basketball game, or my date with Eddie. Date.... is it a date?
“Hi honey!” Chrissy yelled from the court.
She was so sweet. I looked onto the court and saw Jason. He smiled up at me. The game went quickly and of course, we won. That Lucas Sinclair boy has some skills. I met up with Chrissy, Jason and the other guys after the game.

It was my first day at Hawkins High. I got through my morning classes with ease but was extremely anxious for lunch. I haven’t made any friends and wasn’t really ready to be branded a loser just yet.
