you’re not bothering me at all! 💕this is actually a pretty difficult question to answer and i sat around for a couple minutes thinking of how best to answer it, so here’s my best shot (and also obvious spoiler warning to anyone who hasn’t read what happens at dawn yet)

for starters, i don’t think it would be right to say that he “ loves” her, at least not in a way that we’d usually characterize as love. i don’t think you can love someone and do what tae did to her. but it’s also more than just lust. he has a twisted infatuation with her and is intrigued, but i think even more than that, he’s lonely. i hint at it just slightly in one of the swimming scenes, but he’s in that forest by himself, seemingly for eternity.

the ending is rather ambiguous (on purpose) but it’s meant to imply that her soul is trapped in the forest now. so to answer your question, is it love? no. adoration and infatuation? maybe. but it’s also a lot more than just lust. he could have had his way with her and killed her, but he chose to keep her with him instead.

i’m alive:

i just wanted to come on here and say i’m not dead, nor am i planning on deleting this blog anytime soon (or really ever). i’m in somewhat of a different place with bts lately and i’m trying to figure out what that means for my writing now (as well as trying to figure out where there’s time for writing in my schedule with everything i have going on) but i have things i want to write and no intentions of completely abandoning this blog so there’s at least that.

i hope you guys can understand and i’m sorry for practically going AWOL since last december, but i am trying to figure out how to balance this blog in with what my life has become

follow up post to say two things:

i’m not gonna say “i’m back” again because while i am actually getting some writing done (compared to the past few times where i said i would and then didn’t touch my files) i still don’t want to make any expectations for myself or you guys. there could be new works soon but it’s equally as likely that there won’t so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i may not be back per say, but i’m writing.
i definitely will not be deleting this blog. not now and not ever regardless of whether or not i ever abandon my blog, all of my works and my master list will still remain up here for anyone who wishes to read them.

all that said, i am actually working on things for once and i’m finally inspired to write rather than feeling like i have to! anyway ihope that when i finish the things i’m working on, you really enjoy them!!

A/N: i’m a sucker for added heart pain so i made the mixtape that’s mentioned in the fic so if you want to listen to it there’s that. and i’ve been working on this thing since november and hit lots of road blocks and set backs with it but finally it’s done and i’m not gonna lie, i’m a little nervous but i’m also really excited to share this. it’s a bit of an odd concept, but it might be a little more familiar to my whovians and homestuck trash out there haha

[Breathes in] Oh Boy. I always say that I’m not an angst person and yet most of my recs have been angst to some degree. I rly should have known when I saw angst and 20.9k and meeting in reverse au the sort of dulling pain this would subject me to, this was hurting me from the get go when the fic barely started.

The writing style is gorgeous, honestly gorgous. The bit at the beginning where it’s described how jk was looking at her with so much love and is so tender with her but she doesn’t remember who he is made my heart squeeze so bad. This was so romantic and so unbelievably sweet, I was crying inside with pure joy reading some parts. THE BIT WHERE SHE ASKS HIM WHAT SHE SHOULD SAY TO MAKE HIM BELIEVE HER WHEN THE TIME COMES WHEN HE’S THE ONE WHO DOESN’T REMEMBER HER AND HE SAYS NOTHING BC HE’LL ALWAYS BELIEVE HER AGSHDHDHHF AND HE DOES 😩 ALSO “Oh man, I’m done for!” He jokes, as he reaches across the table to hand you a couple napkins. “Because I can already tell how easy it’ll be to fall in love with you.” U MAY THINK THESE ARE SPOILERS BUT THEYRE MEANINGLESS SPOILERS BC THEY DONT MAKE MUCH SENSE OR FEEL AS SAD IF U HAVENT READ THE FIC SO DONT CUT ME JUST YET

I do admit though that my dumb ass couldn’t wrap my head around the timelines for a good maybe ¾ of the fic but it did all begin to click towards the end. And I’m writing this review the morning after I read this and I reread the end and the beginning and I definitely get it now. So anyone who reads this who also hasn’t seen dr who and is unfamiliar with the meeting in reverse concept - don’t worry if you’re confused at first because you experience the nature of the timeline with the oc anyway. But when you do understand how it works, reread the beginning again when she meets jungkook for the “first time” (if you have already read it - I’m talking abt the bit when she has to leave so suddenly bc she’ll be late to class). The weight of jk’s sadness and the general melancholy and bittersweetness of that scene didn’t fully sink in the first time bc you experience the oc’s sadness when it eventually happens to her towards jungkook. This is definitely the sort of fic that gets sadder each time you reread the whole thing, because you will always most likely miss a lot on the first read, and you may not have fully understood the journey of each of their timelines at the first read either. I have yet to reread the whole thing but honestly am I rly ready for that yet……just give me a week and a bus of icecream and a truck for my tears maybe.

When I reached the end I was just lying on my bed until maybe 15 mins or so after finishing and urhhhh a bit of water maybe started leaking out of my eyes but gosh the writing is wonderful and the storytelling is wonderful, this whole story is wonderful. Even though I’m still sad. But this au is rly great.

ahahsjdhdjdlsls omg thank you so much!!!! and i’m sorry it took me five ages to respond to this ㅠㅠ but oh goodness i’m so happy you liked it as much as you did! and the fact that you said the fic made you feel all those emotions aaaaaaah, like that was my primary goal when writing that fic: to create a visceral emotional response so i’m happy it worked.
