so dean says when he found out about chuck’s manipulations, he felt like he wasn’t real and had never been free

and then chuck went and gave it to them straight that he’s never been able to control cas, never been able to get him to do what he says

so when cas tells dean that he and dean are real, that “we are” from the beginning of the season is suddenly so much more poignant because out of all the manipulations, out of everything chuck has done to them, dean and cas’ love is more real and will be more freeing than anything else has ever been or will be in dean’s entire lifetime
