The problem for me isn’t that Buttercup is black (although I would prefer Bubbles to be black), but it’s that they’re keeping her aggressiveness as a core trait and on top of that made her to be a wlw serial cheater/promiscuous?
The CW could have made her a soft, black lesbian, but instead played into the stereotypes surrounding black aggressiveness and sexual promiscuity.
