˗ˏˋ faerie; a gshade preset for the sims 3 ´ˎ˗

edit: updated the preview photos for this post!

im so excited to be sharing my first gshade preset! im super proud of how this came out :)

this preset was specifically made for the sims 3, it’s a more dreamy preset with focus on pink & white tones!

my preview pictures were taken in lucky palms with this lighting mod by brntwaffles (with auroras & ip water), so your game might look slighty different than mine.

i have no idea if this preset will work with reshade, or how it appears in ts2 or ts4. i might test it out and release edited versions in the future though!

effects used in “faerie”:

MXAO ( shift + 3 toggle key )

Levels

Filmic Pass

prod80_04_Selective Color

MultiLUT

Vibrance

AmbientLight

Clarity

DeHaze

Technicolor2

this is the preset i use for my gameplay. mxao could be a little heavy on your game so turn off/on as needed! mxao also requires edge smoothing to be turned off.

heart face stickers by simobsession

more downloads! these are little heart stickers for your sims’ faces. they look a bit wonky in the photo, but i’m 99.9999% sure that’s the angle. there are 3 options for downloads: eyeshadow, blush, or costume makeup. you can only download one of these options or else they’ll conflict with each other. i hope you can find some sort of use for these and enjoy!

Sims 4 would be miles more enjoyable if it had adapted The Sims 2′s want, fear and aspiration system. Sims 2 prompted you do achieve and actively avoid stuff. The amount of content added for Sims 4 isn’t even that bad, maybe a bit lazy, but if they properly integrated it into the game, it’d have much more replay value. Like water balloon fights? I might actually play with them more often if my sims asked me to. I know that buffs and whims and aspirations exist in The Sims 4, but they’re neither challenging, visually eyecatching or rewarding. Period.

That being said, Sims 4 feels more like a movie set than a life simulator because you get too much control over what is happening in the game.

yeah, i’m not prone of reblogging my own posts in such a short timespan like this, but this is a slightly below mediocre mockup concept of what a Sims 4 wants and fears panel could look like. The green bar showcases a time limit that needs to be met when completing a want, (if you ever played Sims Medieval you’d get it.) Some wants and fears appear suddenly and based on your sims’ current situation. So if your sim is mean-spirited and is talking to someone they dislike, they might get an immediate want to insult that sim, which would disappear after maybe 30 sim minutes to an hour if not fulfilled. The one on the far right, top row, would have a timespan of 4 days to complete as it is a more difficult goal.
