Still around. Just been dealing with family tragedy since May 11 so distracting myself with other things. Hope to be back here soon. Just hard at times so playing Super Smash Bros Ulimate and Super Mario Cart 8 or watching movies as a distraction. Sucks at Anime Expo and Comic Con arent happening this year -_-

Typical things he distracted himself by going on missions either solo or with Juvia. The water mage was the only other person that he trusted since she was a close ally with him due to being part of Phantom Lord. She was part of the Element 4 and he would never forget it either. As for mingling with the others he kept to himself and Juvia seemed to enjoy cooking when she had spare time. It was one of the most memorable things he knew about her skills besides her fighting.
Gajeel hadn’t been on a mission with Juvia for quite some time. His independence was one of those reasons, but he often kept to himself lately. However upon hearing her words he shifted away from the wall casually walking up to her.
“Sure, what kind of job do ya have in mind? Been dying to get out of here.”

At his words of acceptance, Juvia’s face would light up with a smile. She was happy to go on jobs with Gajeel as the two of them worked well together. They didn’t often get a chance to go on them together due to their differing magics. That didn’t mean they were incapable of succeeding or anything of the sort, however.
“Juvia was thinking of this job. It is S-Class so it may take us a while to finish, but the reward is worth it.”
She needed an escape as well some people were being somewhat suffocating with their assumptions regarding her love life, or rather, lack-there-of. Working with Gajeel was bound to get her mind off of things for a while and maybe people would stop with the strange assumptions before they got back.
It was likely nothing more than wishful thinking but she really hoped that they would forget all about it but she could hope that they would, at the very least, move on to a new target in her absence.
“We can leave whenever Gajeel-kun is ready to. Juvia packs fast.”
The dragon slayer knew that Juvia would be excited to hang out on a mission with him. It be a long while since they both done since Phantom Lord days.
Lucky for Gajeel was already packed and ready to go. Many people may have thought with missions he go down unprepared, however as a survivor that instinct naturally stuck with him. If it was a short mission not to far away would be the only exception for him to walk rather than travel by any sort of transportation due to his motion sickness curse.
It be nice to stay far away from the lingering chaotic drama or rumor always floating around the guild. The favorite target was either on him or Juvia. Why? Most likely since they were Phantom Lord members enemies to the guild they nearly destroyed so of course there was distrust. While Juvia rumors always laid into a supposed love interest due to her chippy attitude. The iron dragon was more prone to the gossip of distrust since he was more destructive in its wake. Not that he gave a damn since he really didnt care what they thought of him.
"Good. I still dont know the fucking S class mission, but I don't give a shit what it is since I just wanna get out if here as soon as we can."
It wasnt a warning, but he was getting pretty impatient, but since Juvia was a close friend he give her the benefit of the doubt instead of berating her.
"Hoping there is fighting involved. I really wanna crack some skulls wide open."
Smirking in a wild manner he cracked his knuckles to emphasize his feral nature.

“I am not being nosy, I was just curious. Plus it is one way to start a conversation. Greeting with a ‘hello. how are you?’ sounds so dull and boring to me. Besides… it seems only fair that I answer questions you might have for me, obviously if they’re reasonable for me to answer.”
That is the excuse she was going to stick with as Sorano wanted to know more about what Gajeel and Erik do when hanging out together, but perhaps she didn’t need to know everything right away since this was hers and the iron dragon slayers first proper meeting in neutral territory.
“Anyway ~ Has Erik said anything about me to you?”
Hopefully Erik wasn’t too rude in the words that was used in regards to how he described her to Gajeel, only time will tell unless Gajeel intends to keep things to himself but what else could they really talk about?
It would have to be an easy adjustment as he wanted Erik's friends to trust him eventually. Not that he couldnt blame if they had that trust at all. The bias of hating anyone associated with Fairy Tail was a sore point for them so he rather not open pardaras box on it. With Sorano's words he agreed that the hi scenario was tiring so spicing it up was a better alternative. Neither was he really good with the concept of greetings either.
"Been taking down fucking dark guilds that are trying to overtake the Barrium Alliance that once stood as the criminal underworld."
He admitted casally with a smirk knowing it be interesting to see her reaction knowing. This would definiteky give him ground to get to know her. Would Erik get mad? Probably not since Gajeel didnt mention anything about the kids being rescued by him and his partner in crime. Since he was really familar with the criminal underground himself the iron dragon decided to exploit it.
"So ya really wanna get roasted? I guess it won't hurt to much. Erik mentions that ya can be bitchy and whine alot especially when there are no showers avaiable while traveling in broken down towns."
He cracked his knuckles then crosses his arms while observing her expression not knowing if any part of this conversation might upset her or not. Being tactful was never a strong suit for him since he was used to the blunt approach.
"He will never understand why ya wear clothes that arent appropriate in the cold climates. Gets annoyed with all the loudness tortures his ears."

“Which bandits group were messing with the humans?”
He was secretly adding it up in his head that anyone from Denish his own home town move in. Usually they kept to themselves, however if they try to migrate in different towns to take over it was possible.
“I’ve been kicking some dark guilds asses. There were a few trying to come back into power so I shut them down real fast.”

“Eh, no one ya should be worried about. Just a random group of bandits.”
Natsu replied towards the iron slayer with a yawn escaping his lips. He was a bit tired from his trip back to the guild. But nothing that food and drinks can fix for him. Nodding towards Gajeel as he spoke, as to give a sign that he was indeed listening to the other.
“Sheesh there’s still dark guilds? Even after what we did with Avatar and Tartarous? “
The pinkette asked tilting his head slightly toward the side in confusion.
He couldnt blame Natsu for having thoughts that bandits that scattered down the path went much of a threat. He could tell he may have tried to dismiss the idea. Gajeel was well aware of their presence
"The Barrium Alliance had lots of followers that were under them and just because the main 3 are gone doesnt mean they can't attempt to rise up and create another empire."
The iron dragon slayer answered knowing he had a close contact that gave him more Intel on things happening.
"Crime Sorceire been taking them out also, but it takes time to track them down even with Cobra's super sonic hearing. So I decided to help in my own way."
He glanced over at Natsu's expression and could already tell he was quite tired after a long trip.
"Ya should just rest for awhile so ya don't get too soft."

Gajeel had known that fear was something he rarely showed around anyone. He never understood Pantherlily’s fear with thunder and it wasnt any exception that Laxus throwing his lightning around when he got pissed wasnt helping his exceed. So the iron dragon wanted his partner to conquer that weakness knowing full well if he didnt strengthened his mind that some enemy could easily use it as a weakness against Pantherlily.
“Nice to hear that. What are ya doing to overcome it? I was thinking of getting ya a pair of headphones or ear muffs to block out the noise. Of course they be miniature size also.”
It was an option and he wasnt talking about the klunky bulky ones, but the sleek light weight style. Gajeel himself wore ear buds to train and even travel with anyway to rid himself of any distractions. Music was a common ground that helped his mood and more comfortable keeping him relaxed. Training with his exceed also a fun experience that challenged the other and enjoying the fact that Pantherlily had more experience with combat being a captain from his homeland. He spar with his partner anytime he was in the mood for it.
“Sure I heard there is a job way up in the mountains. We have to retrieve a jewel that is hidden up there.”

Lily loved sparring with, training with, and working with Gajeel. The Iron Wizard had more than once proven himself to be a valuable ally to the displaced warrior. He’d not mentioned it in some time but their battle within Edolas was still one of his favorites. It made him feel so alive.
“The mountains you say? Well, should we get going then? We’re wasting daylight just standing here talking about it. We can discuss more on the way to and from.”
They weren’t in a rush by any means he knew very well that Gajeel wasn’t the most comfortable within the guildhall, and he didn’t blame him. Some members seemed less inclined to forgiving and forgetting than the ones that the Slayer had actually harmed which was something Lily still wasn’t quite able to grasp.
"Maybe in the future they might. C'mon Pantherlily arent other exceeds alread across the continent? I think it be a nice that venders would cash in on tiny ear buds."
He vaguely remebered on the Edlas world that a bunch of exceeds had migrated onto Ishigar so it was hard to believe they didnt land a mark. If he had the mechanical background with creating music signals he would developed his own head phones for his cat.
"I'm ready whenever ya are. Just had to grab some snacks before we held out. Dont forget that I havent forgotten your favorites too."
As a surival even when he wasnt part of any guild he knew all about the essential items especially when it was long trips. The mountains would be a nice solitude to have no interruptions from any of the mages or any humans that explore the continent. He was already packed and just waiting for Pantherlily.

Renji wasn’t sure where he was or how he’d gotten there in the first place. Luckily for him, he spotted someone who looked like they’d actually be willing to speak to him unlike the other people he’d tried to speak to. Apparently, people were intimidated by his appearance, but the guy he was walking toward had piercings and tattoos that the redhead could see.
“Hey, can ya help me out? I don’t recognize anythin’ around here.”
He obviously wasn’t from the area, if his appearance was anything to go by at the very least. Not to mention his outfit, everyone else seemed to be wearing the sort of clothing that Kisuke had on the gigai he made. Renji looked like he was going to a festival or a funeral wearing all black with white underneath.
The iron dragon had noticed much more silence than he was used to around the humans. It couldn't just be him as even though others were weary of him they knew how to keep their mouths shut. He turned around noticing a tall individual wearing a karate gi, but also armed with a concealed weapon.
Gajeel starred at the stranger for a moment taking in his look. From his appearance he guessed that the red head with pony tail tied up tight was from Japan, but most noticeable of his features was his tats that he clearly could see on part of gi by his chest and upon his forehead.
"Sure I can see that your not from this world. Are ya some kind of warrior?"
He snatched a map off a stand and gave it to the red headed warrior.

It was rather odd seeing someone who looked eerily similar to himself, Gajeel thought. He was well aware of the fact that everyone had a twin out in the world somewhere but what if this wasn’t that one? What if this was one of those evil doppelgangers? In a world filled with magic as Earthland was anything was possible. Hell, he’d met someone with his face in another WORLD before so this shouldn’t really shock him as much as it did.
“This is so fuckin’ weird.”
It was almost like looking into a mirror only there were obvious differences between the two men.
Gajeel been around alot of twins in different universes. Some he had befriended, leave or more hostile. He saw no problem not being friendly since it a natural since the one from Edolas who was a reporter never gave him a reason to not trust him. Either way Gajeel could tell by the scent that this one wasn't masked with a different scent except his. So this other version wasnt brimmering with a individual that had used sorcery/magic or illusion in order to look like him. Gajeel himself dawned a dragon necklace hidden out of sight.
"This is fucking strange, but in a way makes sense. I've seen other mirrors. Also in a paraell world there is a reporter has a striking resemblance."
He pulled out some of the iron from his bag and offered to the other Gajeel.
Sorry went on a hiatus for quite awhile but with all the crap going in in the world just felt right. Just needed a break from things.
Oh well today my birthday but it's not important. Couldn't go anywhere fun last year because of the pandemic. Going to try to find a fun place that is not under lockdown since movie theaters are out and malls down sized......
