Really trying not to suddenly hate my art, but here we are. I really really hope I can finish some thing for Sakura’s birthday tomorrow.. but it’s not looking good.

At first it was accounts reposting art getting more engagement and followers than the actual artists. Now it’s A*I* accounts and it’s so sad. Sometimes in my heart I just want to give up, but I know the right thing to do is to not let them win and I should keep creating art, even if it’s not very good…

Literally what this is all doing, which AI bros cannot see the big picture, is like how Amazon and Walmart have gone the way of Temu. That’s essentially what AI is gonna do with all the things we enjoy currently - animation, movies, video games for example. In the end we’re all going to lose to low quality shit that we still have to consume or pay for because that will be all that’s available (like crappy-manufactured cheap shit on Temu/Amazon etc) and in the end all the big corps will still be winning because they saved money on production and manufacturing. They don’t care about any of us, they just want to sell us crappy cheap shit at the same prices as before and it’s all a scam. It’s all about profits for them with the least overhead possible. And all these AI bros are falling for it.

All I have learned from the AI bros discourse is that they have zero understanding of copyright and fair use and derivative works. The mental gymnastics they do is insane to try and justify the scraping of Internet images to use in their training dataset.

Naruto fandom really be the only one that reposts fan art made by official animators and call it official art. 🙄
