Hey I’m reblogging this again because if you need glasses here’s what I do:

I can’t articulate how many literal headaches Zenni has saved me because I just used to wear my old prescription until I had trouble keeping my eyes open from the strain. Now at the first hint of eye strain it’s like “Not today, Satan!” and I can plan for the $100 expense that’s going to last me potentially years.

Obligatory reminder that a ton of people have added but still, Zenni and other likewise sites (1-800-Contacts) require the prescription be up to date within a year. So yeah plan that in, any time you shop, that script has to be from within the last year. 

I would also like to submit glassesshop.com because, though I shopped Zenni exclusively from 2012-2017, in the last six months I have gotten four pairs of glasses from GlassesShop, and still paid less than a hundred dollars.

The key difference for me was that while Zenni was utterly eye opening (ha, eye pun), they rarely do sales, and GlassesShop is constantly rolling through a variety of sales. There is almost always a wide selection of glasses on Buy One Get One Free promotion, and the free pair includes the lenses, no matter what add ons are on there or whatever kinda prescription you got, as long as its the less expensive pair. 

They also do weekly specials where rotating selections of frames go on clearance-rate pricing, from $6.95-12.95. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the constant variety of sales, promotions, and discounts they offer, and doesn’t include that, also unlike Zenni, if you have an account every purcahse you make accrues points which can be applied in dollar amount to future purchases, even with discounts/sales/promos also applied.

Like Zenni, GlassesShop lets you upload a selfie to “try on” frames you’re interested in, but they have a much wider selection and variety. They take about the same amount of time as Zenni to craft and ship your glasses, and they’re on par as far as quality and accuracy of prescription goes.

I will always be grateful to Zenni for opening the door for me on the online glasses market, because as someone netting less than 20k a year after taxes glasses used to be a “upon pain of death/causing a car accident from blindness” purchase but have become a “well that’s a great sale and I LOVE those frames… I guess I could do with another pair of glasses, there’s $30-50 in my budget!” kind of thing, and that’s incredible.

But I probably won’t be switching back, as after having made multiple purchases, the only thing I like better about Zenni compared to GlassesShop is Zenni has better cleaning cloths.

Regardless, they’re two excellent, amazingly affordable alternatives to spending minimum of $100 at a brick and mortar glasses store, and I’ve turned into something of a proselytizer for both, because people deserve to know they have these options.

It’s bad enough we’re out here paying to see, but too many of us don’t realize we could be paying a lot less to see, and in the cutest glasses best suited to our tastes, instead of whatever’s “cheap” at WalMart.

also gonna throw out eyebuydirect, which does some great sales. I’ve gotten prescription glasses as cheap as $6 and prescription sunglasses for $20.

Ordered from both Zenni and Eyebuydirect before and a great experience every time. I just bought two new pairs from Eyebuydirect. I upgraded to their blue filtering lenses (didn’t expect a huge difference but woah, it was definitely worth the upgrade) and with the sale going on, I paid less than $60.

 I don’t follow Beauty and the Beast scene for scene, but follow the general storyline. I really enjoyed writing this fic, I hope you all want to read it.

Every significant moment in your life is inked on your skin in the form of flowers. A first kiss, a perfect day, a favorite memory, a wedding, the birth of a child, and of course, the death of a loved one. Some people have flowers with specific meanings– blooms that signify compassion and care decorate teachers. The best lovers are covered in red flowers for passion and love. Others simply are covered in every flower imaginable, the random colors and designs filling their skin like a meadow filled with happy memories. But then, some people have thorns winding through their flowers, black slashing through the colors.  These are the people to avoid, the worst people, the people whose souls are so stained with their misdeeds, that it spills out onto their skin for the world to see. And some people never bloom at all. These are the people to pity- to live a life without flowers is a lonely, dull existence.

Lost in unfamiliar woods, desperate for some shelter, Peter discovers a dark castle he’s never seen before. It is empty, startlingly empty, except for the tall figure hiding in the shadows, watching from beneath a cloak and hood.

Wade knows he should let the boy go, but Peter is the most beautiful person he’s ever seen, and after that wretched witch had cursed him, he never thought he’d see beauty again. So he keeps Peter prisoner, unwilling to let him go, drawn to his sweet nature, his soft laugh, and eventually Wade falls in love. He knows he will never be beautiful again, cursed to live with these thorns climbing his body, growing worse with each passing year, but he is unable to keep himself from soft touches and hesitant kisses, unable to resist the way Peter stares, not at the thorns but at the man underneath.

The prettiest rose blooms among the worst thorns. Find your Rose, and break your curse.

That’s what the enchantress told him, but Wade doesn’t know what that means. And how could Peter, with no flowers at all, be the one to cure Wade? How could Peter in all his innocence be the one to wipe the thorns from Wade’s skin?

Then Peter leaves, Wade lets him go, and as the last bit of beauty leaves the castle, the thorns surge over him, covering him, leaving him less of a man and more of a beast.

It’s too late.

Buckys breath was hot in Tonys ear, the words just barely audible.

Tony had woken to his mattress dipping, a big body pressing up behind his own, a hand over his mouth to keep him from yelling.

“S’just me.” Bucky continued in that barely there tone. “Been missin’ ya real bad lately, Tony. You been missin’ me?”

He moved his hand from Tonys mouth, and Tony licked his lips before whispering, “Yeah, I miss you, Buck. But we’re on an army base. If you get caught in my bed—“

“Won’t get caught.” Bucky grunted, and then he shifted in the bed and Tony bit his lip bloody trying not to groan when he felt Buckys cock digging into his ass.

“C’mere Sweet thing, lemme just—“

It took some maneuvering, some adjusting, having to stop several times when the bed squeaked and another soldier in the dorm rolled over or shifted. If they were caught, Bucky could be in real trouble, maybe even tossed out of the army if the CO was enough of a homophobe and with Steve gone on a mission, they just couldn’t risk it.

So Bucky went slow and careful, but eventually he had Tonys sleep pants down around his knees and could fit his length into the tight pocket made by Tonys thighs, slipping under the curve of that perfect ass and dragging over Tonys perenium, over his sac, bumping against the base of Tonys cock.

“Shit.” Tony pushed his face into the pillow to muffle his gasp, and then managed to have a coherent enough thought to quietly fumble for some hand cream, spreading it as best he could over his thighs so Bucky had some place slick to stroke into.

“S’good, baby.” Bucky muttered, and wrapped one arm under and around Tonys shoulders to hold him still, his other sliding through the creme and then up Tonys length. “You good?”

“Bucky.” Tony pushed his head back so Bucky could lay hot kisses down his neck. “Please.”

That’s how long Tony had to redirect the nuke and send it through the portal splitting open the sky above New York before it detonated.

Less than a minute.

Pepper’s phone just kept ringing and ringing and ringing and Tony didn’t know if he was heartbroken that he wouldn’t get to say goodbye, or relieved that he wouldn’t have to hear her cry.

Less than a minute.

The seconds were ticking away and Tony put every bit of power he could into his thrusters, forcing himself and the bomb straight towards the sky, climbing higher and higher until he burst through into a whole other world.

Less than a minute.

Space was supposed to be empty, but it was crawling with life, with aliens, with machines hell bent on destroying his world, and then the nuke exploded and it was glorious in some sort of horrifying way.

Less than a minute, and JARVIS faded out and all Tony could see was darkness.

They say your life flashes before your eyes when you die, but Tony knew he was dying and he wasn’t seeing anything.

But he could hear was mother’s voice in the back of his head, singing that sweet song about little wonders and small hours, and time falling away–

And then Tony was falling away, down and down through the empty void, the wormhole closing beneath him, and Tony thought that he had never been more terrified to fall than he was right now.

Less than a minute, and it would all be over and Tony thought that he had never been more terrified to fall than he was right now.

And then everything went black.

If you’re European, in a couple of weeks you will be denied any and all access to fandom contents on Tumblr and everywhere else on the internet. Here’s why.

On June, 20th the JURI of European Parliament approved of the articles 11 and 13 of the new Copyright Law. These articles are also known as the “Link Tax” and the “Censorship Machines” articles.

Articles 13 in particular forces every internet platform to filter all the contents we upload online, ending once and for all the fandom culture. Which means you won’t be able to upload any type of fandom works like fan arts, fan fictions, gif sets from your favourite films and series, edits, because it’s all copyrighted material. And you won’t also be able to share, enjoy or download other’s contents, because the use of links will be completely restricted.

But not everything’s lost yet. There’s another round of voting scheduled for the early days of July.

What you can do now to save our internet, is to share these informations with all of your family members and friends, and to ask to your MEP (the members of the European Parliament from your country) to vote NO at the next round, to vote against articles 11 and 13.
