Hey guys, announcement time!

After much thought and a long shower, I have decided to move my blog. This blog started out as a Sherlock roleplay blog back when season four was about to come out (yes, I know, embarrassing). Since then I’ve gone through maybe four or five transitions and I think I’ve finally settled on “mostly podcasting, weirdness, and writing”. I essentially want to start over with all those themes in mind.

I’ve also transitioned somewhat personally, and it’ll be super nice to start fresh in a place where I will always be known as “Thane, bi, they / them”.

This blog will remain intact but inactive, as sort of an archive. I’ll also try to keep some of my sideblogs going.

I’ve moved most of my favorite posts, some of my fanfics, and some of my moodboards over to @trenzalure. If you are interested in refollowing me, please do! :) If not, that’s perfectly fine. I want to earn my follows back. If I’m no longer the kind of blog you’d follow, then please don’t feel obligated to follow me.

Remember the day I got out of class early and we met up in the parking lot? You were too excited to stop talking. The year had just begun. I’d never seen you smile like that. When you backed out of the parking lot my eyes fluttered down for a second and caught on the edge of a scar like a thick ribbon all the way down at the base of your forearm; my eyes travel up the needle sharp stripes to the top of your wrist, and then back to your face, and you are telling me how you plan to buy your own car next year. The scars don’t matter.

The day we drove downtown in a cloud of friends, and by sundown only you and I were left? We sat on meditation rock and talked until you cried and I held you, and I did not look at your wrists. They mattered, but I did not want to see them.

Remember when my dad took us all down to the river and I tried to teach you to swim? You wouldn’t take your glasses off and I coughed and spluttered into the current, trying to talk and dive, and you laughed and I hugged myself and closed my eyes. I did not look. I did not remember.

The day it rained and I refused to come in. You stood out there with me until I snapped and screamed and raged and you listened, hair plastered to your face. I remembered, and I didn’t feel so alone.

Remember when you broke your wrist and I couldn’t stop nervously locking eyes with you, couldn’t stop whispering. You said you were fine until your voice stopped working and mine picked up where yours left off, so the air didn’t have to be still. We both remembered, and I hoped no one else did.

Remember yesterday when you hugged me goodbye for the first time in months, and when I waved you forgot to wave back? It’s okay. You’ve forgotten, but I haven’t.

You don’t have to remember anymore.
