ever since rick showed up, wheatley had been hoping that the other cores wouldn’t follow suit; it had apparently been only a matter of time until space core managed to find his way into the city, too. at least he was...noticeably less enthusiastic about space, this time around. being in it, at least.
“ picked up on that, did you? wasn’t obvious enough the first week we were there? ” wheatley grumbled, either unaware of the core’s head leaning against him or uncaring. he didn’t consider them friends - he didn’t consider any of the corrupted cores his friends when their idiotic rambling still lingered in his mind- which he’d interpreted as a personal insult, and still did.
“ ...guess it’s good you figured it out though. eventually. better late than never. ” wheatley’s tone was still a bit cold and harsh, and he crossed his arms stubbornly. “ yeah, i’m glad to be rid of it. space, i mean. happier to be here on the ground at any rate. don’t see what’s so fascinating about the sky, though. especially now that i’ve actually been there. ”
