INSTANT by Park Kyung (Block B) is probably one of the most underrated self-composed songs out there. SUMIN, the singer featured in it, is also barely known which is honestly quite a shame.

Block B ~ Basic Guide

I feel bad for posting almost zero about Block B even though they are my top group. They deserve recognition so bad and I will try my best to promote them at least a bit more.

If you are looking for a group that doesn’t fit kpop standards at all… it’s Block B. They are here since 2011. 6 ugly dudes and one handsome (as he said himself, Jaehyo, you troller). Hiphop? Dance? Ballad? R&B? Rock? They have it all.

You may know the leader: Zico aka Woo Jiho aka cutie and not tough cookie. Rapper. Producer. You can name it all. Member of rap crew FANXY CHILD together with Dean, Crush, Penomeco, Millic and StayTuned. He might look badass and he is when he stands on stage but he is just a bag of fluff irl.

If you think Block B has only one rapper you are wrong. You have a new discovery ahead of you.

Let me troduce you Park Kyung and P.O aka the short and tall duo. Both rap like fires yet have a very different style each. Kyung is also our president because whenever he has a chance, he mentions us.

Do you enjoy dancing? Block B is not known for the best choreographies but they have two amazing dancers. B-Bomb - smooth, sexy and U-Kwon - sharp and quick. Combine it and you have some seductive energy on stage for sure.

These two dudes and P.O formed a subunit just by drawing red coloured balls - yes, Block B is that random. The subunit is called Bastarz and let me tell you. They are something. Start by listening to Zero For Conduct and Make It Rain and thank me later.

Last but not least is the vocal duo. Taeil and Jaehyo. One short and covered in tattoos from head to toe (literally) and the other aka the tallest member and apparently the only one handsome (lol).

Taeil is known for his angelic voice and sang many songs for OSTs - Come To Me, A Doll’s Dream. Jaehyo, on the other hand, openly regrets jumping on the idol route and is even afraid of cameras (and hates being touched but that’s just a lil side fact). His voice can be found only in Block B’s songs for now. Although, his Japanese solo song The Last Stop has a Korean version.

They may not be everyone’s taste but giving a try never hurt anybody. Enjoy and spread the Block B love (and stay positive, not like Taeil rofl).
