Tbh I don't know if I even need to do anything with the unicorn itself besides the eye, inside of the ear, maaaybe a hint of reflected color on the body? I'll have to decide if I want to do the hooves darker or not. But the only thing that still needs to be done is the foreground, so that's fun :D
New small work in progress piece! Little unicorn in some woodlands. I'm using photo references I took at botanical gardens for the plants and bushes.
I just varnished the pencil lines so that when I start painting the graphite won't mix into the acrylic, but it means I have to wait 3hrs for the varnish to dry and then do clear gesso (since it's a gloss varnish) and then wait for that to dry, too, before I can start actually painting. But I'm excited for this one.
I decided to try out the block printing kit I got ages ago! My idea was to make a stamp for the interior of the sketchbooks in my etsy shop, or at least dabble with the concept. I'm quite proud of the result, actually!
Carving rubber is actually harder because it's so soft, my art class back in middle/high school did linoleum cutting, which was difficult to cut but easier to get sharp corners with lol. But the lettering didn't turn out half bad at all, and I'm really happy with the dragoncat design and the print the stamp makes!
Trying different ideas for pernese dragons :)
Rolls up late with some new iron man fam art ๐ really haven't been drawing much recently so wanted to see what I'd be able to do ^^'
