At last, one of my finished cards for the @httyd-fan-tarot project! This card is The High Priestess. It usually symbolizes intuition, higher powers, mystery, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The priestess knows the secret to accessing our inner selves, and she uses her knowledge to teach rather than control others.
I chose to draw Valka for this card, since I think that description matches her pretty perfectly––especially that last part. She has a lot of powerful knowledge about dragons, but she uses it to help them rather than control them. :)

Hey everyone! I’m extending the deadline yet again! I have 8 cards still unassigned (10 if you want to include the extras I’ve assigned to myself) so if you want to take on an card or ten let me know and I’d be happy to hand out what’s available! Right now I’m keeping the deadline open, no sense setting a date until everything is accounted for.
If you’re still working on your assignments, keep on keepin’ on! Love seeing your progress and can’t wait to see everyone’s finals!

These were drawn for the How To Train Your Dragon fan tarot project, hosted by Ehrola!
Hiccup is the Ace of Sword. This card’s description included Victory and Mental Clarity, things that he (hopefully) represents when he becomes a leader. That’s why I gave him his father’s hammer instead of his usual sword.
Stoick is the King of Pentacle. “Security, control, power,discipline and abundance” just screamed “chief” as well. Hence, the chief symbol on his shield.
It was really fun to work on this project, I’m just sorry it took me so long to complete these! I’m so happy with how Stoick turned out, I’m not used to drawing men :)

Behind the cards:
Queen of Cups: Emotional security, calm, intuitive, compassionate
Of course the first character that popped into my mind was Valka, how strong she is, and she was the first person to feel compasionate towards dragons.
The Hanged Man: Suspension, restriction, letting go, sacrifice
I instantly thought of the scene in the first movie when they are both falling and Hiccup just sacrificed himself for the sake of the other vikings and how Toothless sacrificed himself and made anything to protect Hiccup.

I ended up asking @ehrola for a third Tarot Card and she gave me Five of Swords (Conflict, tension, loss, defeat, win at all costs, betrayal.)
I haven’t seen any Gobber centered Tarots cross my dash so I went with this.
Perhaps this is post HTTYD2 and Hiccup and Gobber are preparing for another attack from Drago while morning the loss of Stoick and peace on Berk?

New Participants?
Hey everyone! I’m still waiting on files from 50% of the participants. I just reached out to everyone who has not submitted all of their designs and I’m going to give them a week to respond before I re-assign their cards. I’m sure I will have some people drop out regardless, so does anyone want to take on an abandoned card or two?
Are these ever going to be available for purchase?
Hi there! I’m not sure to be honest. I’m still trying to figure out a way to make them available where I make no profit off of them. I might do a sort of “pre-order” where I figure out the exact cost to print and ship them and everyone who would like a deck would have to pay in advance.
At the very least I will have a digital download of the complete deck available as soon as I receive the remaining submissions! I think I’m still waiting on 50% of the cards?
