I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but are you alive? I haven't seen you posting anywhere?

I'm alive! I'm just not active on my art accounts because I haven't made anything I can/would like to post

Is there any chance of Flowerpot ever returning, of so, do you have an approximate date? I love your world and would love to read more of them!!!

Hello there, and thank you so much for your love for Flowerpot!

As much as I love Ben, his story, and the world of Flowerpot, I've become a lot less inclined to return to it now that we're living through a real pandemic. Part of me is worried that I won't be able to handle the themes/setting sensitively enough (or even if I could, I don't know if what I'd be saying is meaningful enough to use such a sensitive allegory), but more importantly, I don't think the comic would be enjoyable for me to make. I'm not the type of author who likes to transparently incorporate personal struggles or real-life experiences into my stories, and unfortunately, a pandemic has become a real-life experience for me.

While I never want to completely exclude the possibility, I will say that it's not a high-ranking option for my next project

(Hi! Sorry if you don't like asks)

I have a question about Gourmet Hound, specifically about episode 131 - Clafoutis. One of the background couples in the cooking lesson, the musicians, were they inspired by any certain characters or were their designs completely original?

Hello there--other than the Honey Lemon characters, the background characters have original designs by me!

helloo!! I don't know if I imagined this but did you ever make wallpapers for Peaches? I got a new phone and I can't find the wallpaper I used previously in my gallery :'( it was a close up of a plate of cut peaches from the webtoon

Hello there! I don't think I have, afaik this is the only piece of Peaches art I've posted here: https://leehama.tumblr.com/post/650113113333579776/i-realized-that-ive-never-posted-this-anywhere

I've moved all the Peaches files off my devices so I can't give out HQ versions of any of the art from it, I'm sorry :')

Hey are you ok? I saw that your Twitter doesn't exist anymore so it got me worried..

I'm okay! I deactivate my Twitter from time to time when it gives me too much anxiety or when it's too distracting

I know Gourmet Hound ended a while ago but I've been rereading it and realized that all of the characters clothes were so cool! How did you come up with/get ideas for each character's individual style and outfits?

Hey there!

Tbh, I don't think I actually do a very good job wrt fashion--there are plenty of comics where the fashion of each character feels much more inspired and in-tune with real trends (off the top of my head, like Edith, Brimstone and Roses, Blades of Furry, etc.), so I would definitely check out those comics and their artists!

In general, I reference outfits I see on social media, in manga/anime and games, on YouTube/TV/movies, etc!  I especially like looking at cards from gacha games or idol franchises (like Love Live SIFAS or BanG Dream GBP), since there are usually a ton of characters all with different clothing styles!

I have a messy Google Slides document of screenshotted things I think my characters would wear (IT’S EMBARRASSINGLY DISORGANIZED, SO I’M ONLY GOING TO SHARE ONE BLURRY SLIDE HA HA)

(I’ve heard Pinterest is good for this too, but Pinterest intimidates me lol)

On the character-creation end, I try to think up a few "guidelines" for each character, which gives the impression of a cohesive personal style and provides helpful search terms: for example, Lucy was "pants-based + often overalls + yellow", so I could easily look up “women’s overalls” or “yellow blouse” when I got stuck.   Another cheat is to have characters re-use specific articles of clothing, especially outerwear, shoes, and accessories (though I avoided that with Brie to give the impression that she has a large wardrobe)!

✨WEBTOON recommendations ✨ pt.2

A series where I attempt to seduce you with aesthetic mood boards to check out my favourite comics on LINE webtoon

ɢᴏᴜʀᴍᴇᴛ ʜᴏᴜɴᴅ

🍎 heartwarming and found-family vibes

🍎 EXTREMELY COMFORTING READ ITS LIKE A WARM HUG

🍎 Diverse characters (integrated into the storyline very naturally)

🍎 lots and lots of FOOD!!

I have a soft spot for this webtoon and stand proud as a devoted Stan of this lovely work. Thank you @leehama for creating this masterpiece which has been a source of comfort to me in rough times. The subject of family loss poignantly depicted in this graphic novel hit especially hard for me when I re read it after losing my grandfather last year and it was through this work that I gradually processed my emotions during that period after numbing myself to all the emotional turmoil within me and I am extremely grateful for the solace and comfort this wonderfully written and illustrated work provided me 🧁

I hope you love this webtoon as much as I do!
