I'm still not over it. Tomorrow it's the third anniversary of that dogshit of a finale. Three years ago I was disappointed. Now? i'm just livid.
When Distant Lands was announced, I didn't had any hope at all. But when one of the episodes was only focused on Finn, the only thing I wanted was closure with him and HW, as well as a better closure to him than that god awful finale. It's the duty of a showrunner to address negative feedback from fans, but Muto pretty much ignored any feedback from the finale because of his massive ego and decided to give more closure to PB and Marcy while Finn was left with a wet fart of a closure.
Since BMO premiered, I was patiently waiting for Together Again, hoping that it would be great. Hoping that it would fix all my problems with the finale. When the day came, all I got was even more disappointment than before. Why this takes place in the afterlife? Why was Finn dead? I just didn't fucking understand why would they do this. I wanted to see Finn after the finale, talking with the other humans, his mom, an adventure with Jake and closure with HW, not this!
I was in the same position during the finale. Everyone praising the hell out of it while I tried to counter everyone's arguments with my anger. I couldn't stand seeing people happy with this abomination of a send off. And Muto had the gall to confirm at Comic Con that he left Finn's life open to imagination. What kind of bullshit decision is that? I don't want to imagine Finn's life. This is supposed to be his last episode. Show me his life during the episode, I want to see Ooo after the finale! I want to see Minerva, I want to see HW, but they weren't there! What the fuck was the goddamn point of this fucking special then, nothing?
My last hope was Wizard City. If the send off was terrible, then at least DL would end with a cameo with Finn and Huntress Wizard at the end, right? It's an episode called WIZARD CITY, after all. Finn made a short cameo in Obsidian, and that had nothing to do with him. They'll probably do the same thing again, right?
No. Finn does not appear and Huntress only appear for two seconds. That's it.
And now, almost three years later after the series ended, here I am. Nothing's changed, except I'm more pissed off and livid than disappointed. I don't care for the Fionna spin-off. If I expect anything from it, it will be Fionna getting with someone and Simon getting with Betty. All while Finn gets nothing again. Because Muto hates Finn and his fans.
I'm tired. I'm so tired and burnt out. Three years waiting for nothing, and it hurts so much.
Fuck Adventure Time, fuck Adam Muto for ruining the show and fuck Cartoon Network for cancelling it.
I don't fucking care anymore. I'm done with the show forever.
