Love to drink? Love to tinker? Love to create devices that astound as much as they confuse? Or do you simply love solving simple problems with unnecessarily complex  solutions? If any or all of these things are true, then the Th(Dr)ink Tank is for you!  What started as an initially small meetup between racers and mechanics of the C-1 Racing League has now officially opened its doors to all inventors and alcoholics! So come on down, and prepare to make something crazy with friends, or make new friends over something crazy!

What to Expect:

Th(Dr)ink Tank Inaugural Invent-Off! - Interested in inventing something new? Or maybe just something weird? WHY NOT BOTH?! Those interested can sign up individually or as a team to solve a particularly ridiculous problem by inventing something new! Throughout the night everyone will be prompted to roll and determine how well you manage to stick to the plan! Get a bunch of bad rolls? Don’t worry! Scores aren’t what determine who wins, so use them as a prompt to make your device particularly haywired or reliable! Those who’ve signed up will then quickly present their project, and then everyone in attendance will vote on the invention of the night!

INVENTION MUST:

- Hard boil eggs

- Straighten Hair

*Required parts will be supplied, though expect to use scraps and old beat up parts of other devices to make your invention a reality.

[Balmung] The Golden Gala! Dec 28th, Gold Court, Ul’dah 7:00pm EST

The Golden Gala returns for its fifth straight year! Originally founded by Jaliqai Qulaan and Ryssmyna Syvynmhaswyn, the Gold and Glory Hunter’s Guild continues to host what we hope will be a wonderful and golden the evening extravaganza. Join us for a night of singing, dancing, eating, and our favorite White Oliphant game!

Performances:

We have quiet the joyous holiday line up this year. From the sewer drains of Ul’dah, one who is just as likely to eat a songbird than be referred to as one, Savo the Sewercat! From the academic world, performing their mandatory fine arts final, the Silvergrace Show Choir! From the stages of Eorzea’s most premiere and beloved show performances, Ellmida Westrose! From the Eastern idol stages, mall venues, and convention circuit, Haurchefant-en-Ciel and a special feature performance from bard songstress Dylan Thorne! 

Feast:

Enjoy the performances and dance the night away. If you get hungry, our wandering servers will be happy to refresh you with a unique Starlight snack or drink. 

White Oliphant Game:

This event is based off of the real-life White Elephant gift exchange game in which players take turns selecting and stealing gift boxes from one another, in the hopes of taking home something especially nice. We’ll be supplying all the gifts and boy, has the prize pool grown! We will be giving away several million gil worth of items at this year’s event – for free! There’s no cost to sign-up for this event, so even if you don’t win big, you’ve nothing to lose!

((IC Thoughts #3 Log001))

    I feel like I should start keeping a log of what is happening in my life from now on things a are getting really busy. I have had a lot of personal interaction with some of the people around Eorzea and should anything happen to me i want this to be known what happened to me leading to this moment. “This is my story.”     First off, met up with Kaz in the Quicksand yesterday and told her about my idea with playing some music I’ve been working on. She suggested I go over to their spot some cat dive bar with a stage in the basement  I played a song that i learned and It went very well… like better than I expected. That could be because I made sure everything was solid with all that practice. Hard work doesn’t pay off in the end. So i guess that means that I’ll actually get to be on stage when I go out now and could be a pretty nice opportunity to make some more side money while having fun!     But, before that I was out drinking with Yvette Aden and Gila. She’s a lot more complex than she puts off initially but I think it’s because her past is so messed up and I can relate to that. We, in the end, all have our reasons for doing what we do. I hope once her transformation is all worked out we can keep hanging out. I’ve only met her during business things but now I think we’re pretty decent friends. Gila actually shown up and the bar after a little awhile of us hanging round and playing games.    Gila is a pretty serious person I feel like he’s always ready in case something happens which is kinda funny because Dad was the same way. I guess you can say he reminds me a lot of him. They act very similar to every situation. I feel like he likes being a father figure to me even though he didn’t ask for it I’ll grow on him. In a odd way having him around is helping with getting over the loss although I think it may be unhealthy in the long run.    Lastly Fhey asked me to look out for he little cousin Savo. The reasoning she states is that she feels that she wont be around much longer… I think she said she was a highway cat or whatever. I have no idea what that is but i feel like I’ll find out more eventually as time goes on. They are a lot I really like to be around I hope everything will be fine.I was a little emotion over drinks… But i just don’t want to be alone again like last time. Ended up staying the night I’m ready to go right after I’m done writing this. I don’t see anyone around so I’ll just leave a thank you note with some of my spiced almonds as a gift.    I want to get home had take a bath in the river I smell like sweat and booze.
