Hi All,
I am a media psychologist with the Pennsylvania State University and a Heartstopper fan! Currently, I am conducting research on Heartstopper, the LGBTQ+ community, and identity processing. I have a cool opportunity for fans to participate in a survey!
The purpose of this study is to understand fans’ experiences with the Netflix television show, Heartstopper. In particular, we’d like to know how Heartstopper is related to fans’ mental health, identity processing, experiences of adversity, and their viewer affinity with the show and characters. The questionnaire will take about 30 minutes to complete. Participants must be at least 13 years old, identify as a Heartstopper fan, and identify with the LGBTQ+ community to participate. All genders and races/ethnicities are invited to participate.
Do NOT take this survey more than once. Please take the survey in one sitting and we kindly ask that you to devote your entire attention to the survey material.
The survey can be found at: https://pennstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bOwWdYa9c31fp0G
The consent form with more specific details will be on the first page of the questionnaire.
An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The Pennsylvania State University reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.
If you have any questions, please contact the lead research investigator, Leah Dajches at lud310@psu.edu
Thank you so much for your time.
There's still time to participate! :)
