alright a little explanation for listeners who might not have run into this stuff before:

the concept of a ‘gold star’ is all about assigning some kind of moral purity to having not fucked someone in particular.

By pretending this is a thing worth giving a shit about, these people hope to make incredibly sexy people (bisexual and transgender and also you specifically reading this) feel like they can’t participate in the lesbian community because they aren’t pure of twat or whatever.

As a Jewish person, I appreciate those saying that this is not okay and that it is misinformation. No, 6 million Uyghur Muslims have not been murdered.

And, as a Jewish person, I know that 6 million very well could be murdered. This is not another Shoah, but it very well could become another. As a Jewish person, I feel we must say “never again.”

“Never again” does not mean “this event was so uniquely horrible, it could never happen again.” It means “this event was horrible, but not unique. We have to make sure it never happens again.”

The Uyghur death count isn’t 6 million, that is misinformation. But “never again” means we have to make sure it doesn’t become 6 million.

If you are not Jewish or Romani, do not draw comparisons to the Holocaust. All that provides is shock value and misinformation. What you can do is support Uyghur Muslims.

If I see one more person go “bUt OcTaViA dOeSn’T fEeL rEmOrSe FoR wHaT sHe’S dOnE” I’m gonna lose it. That is literally ALL she feels, and she would rather die than have to live with what she had to do in that bunker. But she literally had to do it… for her people. Just like Clarke preaches season after season (and don’t get me wrong, I love Clarke too but I’m tired of the fans comparing them)

And everyone’s biggest argument is when O burned the farm down in the bunker. But the scene before that, she literally is about to harm herself because that’s the only form of emotion that she knows anymore. She has turned herself completely numb to everything around her in order to lead her people to salvation. So she does the only thing she can think of and picks up a piece of broken glass and cuts her arm, she feels SOMETHING. But then she hesitates before continuing, she looks at herself in the mirror and realizes this is not the time that she can be weak. She has to be strong. So instead of continuing to harm herself, she rubs the blood in her hands and then masks her face in it, as if she were making a stand that Blodreina is the savior that her people need to survive. Octavia knows that she is not strong enough to lead her people, she is still just a child inside. But as Blodreina, her people follow her. The only way that she could grant them the salvation that they were promised was to burn the farm down and march for their freedom.

That was a key moment in her character arc where she had to do the worst thing she could imagine in order to save her people. Just like every single other character has done multiple times, but the fandom is so quick to defend certain characters but hate on others.
