so the house of representatives just passed a bill that will now move to the senate to BAN tik tok completely in the united states and they are expected to argue that “national security risks” outweigh the freedom of speech and first amendment rights. biden has already said that if it gets to him, he will sign it. whether or not you use the app…….this is something to be worried about
before u have the kneejerk reaction of “good I hate tt anyways” or “maybe ppl will go outside” that’s not what this is about! the government wants to remove an entire app with over 170 million american users (who in large have used it as a platform to build community, consume and spread world news, advocate, organize), and try to force people back to us based apps like meta and google. please think about the implications. please think about what else they could potentially do if they get away with this. this could very well set a precedent for free speech & constitutional rights as well know it, and it is imperative we are on the right side of it
By the way, the actual language of the bill would allow them to ban any website or internet hosted app from a "foreign adversary", as described in the vaguest possible terms. This isn't about tiktok and will not stop at tiktok.

Depicted in the Strength Arcana is a Prince gently stroking the face of a loin. The two are shown as companions, theirs is a relationship of trust and control. The lion is the embodiment of human passions and desires. Left unchecked, the lion’s ferocity could spell the end for the Prince, but his compassion keeps the lion calm. Through focus and the application of inner strength, the Prince maintains control without the use of force or coercion. In its purest form, the strength arcana represents gaining victory over our lower urges.

I don’t know if many aspiring artists are following me, but there’s something I wish someone had told me when I was a young’n, so here we go.
If you feel like giving up because your drawings don’t look that way you want them to, Don’t actually give up. It’s easier to alter an existing picture than it is to create something from scratch! If you’re disappointed with your starting sketches, use them as guide. Keep the things you like, alter the things you don’t, but don’t just throw it away because it’s not perfect.
My starting sketches look NOTHING like my final pieces and I’ve been drawing for over a decade. Just look at my current favorite piece. It’s worlds away from the starting sketch.
Nine times out of ten your vision isn’t going to turn out perfect the first time you put pen to paper (or stylus to screen), but that doesn’t mean you should give up.
Revision is your friend.
