Musical accompaniment for drawing and the association: Edvard Grieg — In the Hall of the Mountain King

"The phantom of the Opera" and my mad love for It. Because of him, I went to bed at six o'clock yesterday morning with a smile on my face. Almost as happy. And as I was drawing, I was smiling. I will now be ashamed to post anything worse than this work, because I think it is the best thing I have ever drawn.
I also realized that I probably enjoyed sketching with a ballpoint pen in the same way that I enjoyed eating chocolate ice cream, for example. And yes, despite the fact that a pen does not forgive mistakes, like a pencil. Therefore, in this drawing you can see auxiliary lines, unsuccessful strokes and — blotches *grumbling*

A few facts about this particular masterpiece:

1. Initially, the eyes were supposed to be different, but the ones that turned out look even better.

2. The only place where the ink blot was more or less appropriate — the top of the head :>

3. The first thing I started detailing was his hands. Fingers, knuckles, Ah! my precious, how I like them, I would have kissed them!

4. I didn't use any references, including clothing — just decided that let it be a shirt with such sleeves and such a collar. And if I like the collar, in general, then the decision on the sleeves causes me doubts.

5. "In the Hall of the Mountain King" was repeated many times and set up the right mood.

I definitely want to redraw this work later and change something, but in the meantime, let Erik flaunt on the pedestal as my best achievement so far.
