i cannot be the first person to post this here but i am going so fucking insane about the gaia music collective's one day choir singing wait for me. the opening harmonies are you KIDDING me

while gojo is def the most misunderstood character both in canon and within the fandom, one of the misunderstandings that annoy me the most is how everyone keeps going with the narrative 'if only he noticed suguru wasn't okay sooner 🥺🥺' HE DID. HE FUCKING DID!!!! THAT'S THE POINT!!!!!

he noticed right off the bat that suguru wasn't okay, and immediately asked him if he was okay. and suguru brushed it off and that was that and it was repeated that they were both stacked with solo missions one after another. if you think geto is overfilled with missions, how do you think they treated gojo once he perfected his CT? even in the phantom game and in the first season it was shown time and time again that gojo always has missions, and have never or barely taken a break eversince.

we all saw suguru's side and how his mental health deteriorated, with gojo in the distance seemingly focused on perfecting his technique. but we never saw satoru's side on how he was when he was alone with his own thoughts. while he's naturally a prodigy, he's obsessed with perfecting his technique because he was traumatized too!! man literally got cut up and bled to his death. gojo satoru died so much that he got high off of his own revival.

and while gege's style usually focuses on moving on with the story at the pace he's started, he took the time to actually explain how suguru's defection was a lost cause with this one quote from gojo:

“It looks like just me being strong isn't enough. I can only save those who are prepared to be saved.”

gojo focused on becoming the perfect weapon in hopes of protecting the people he's supposed to protect, but that doesn't matter when at that point geto didn't want to be saved. correction, he didn't want to bother due to his noble belief that he has to be the strong one too. from his point of view he was trying to play catch up to satoru and failing miserably, not knowing that satoru's coping with his loss in the only way he can.

gojo couldn't save geto because he didn't want to be saved. more than that, geto needed to be out of the system period. gojo needed saving too. even now, as it's literally what led him to his death
