"Please, can we talk about this tomorrow?" Heeseung groans as he slumps down on the couch, rubbing his face with his hands. He really doesn't want to get mad at you at such late hour but he can't help it when you keep talking his ear off from the moment that he's walked into your shared apartment. "I'm dead tired, just let it go for now, okay?"

"I'm not sleeping with you today," you scoff, not even daring a look at him so that he doesn't notice the tears of frustration that have started brimming in your eyes.

You've just found out from one of Heeseung's friends that he's been out with his ex for almost the entire day. Without telling you a word about it. Normally, you weren't the jealous type as you trust your boyfriend with your whole heart. But after hearing that he's been having the time of his life with the girl that once has broken his heart, while you were at home waiting for him to come back, your thoughts drifted onto a completely different track.

"Why? Fuck, so what if I saw her today?' He exclaims, slapping his thighs with a breathless laugh. "Nothing happened! She just wanted to talk, YN! Talk. Stop trying to turn it into something that it's not."

"Then why didn't you even bother telling me that you were meeting her?" You ask, involuntarily letting yourself get emotional and raising your voice as well. "Who even does shit like that?"

"I just didn't think it would matter so much to you, that's all. I thought you trusted me a little more!"

"So you're saying that if I were to hang out with my ex and didn't tell you anything about it, you'd be fine with it?" You snort when he nods his head. "Alright, yeah. Watch out cause I almost believed you."

"God, you're just like her! Why would I ever think of cheating on you with her when the two of you are exactly alike?" Heeseung ignores the hurt look on your face and keeps on talking nonsense, fueled up by anger. "Both have trust issues. Both are ridiculously jealous. Both are way too clingy for anybody to bear. Fucking twins!"

You laugh in disbelief as you stand up from the couch. "Why are we even in this relationship if I'm so fucking unlovable to you?"

"Good question," he quietly murmurs.

You don't bother to wait for his apology or pleads for you to stay as you know he's way too deep in his anger to even start acknowledging your feelings now. You don't even have the strength to slam the door, so you just quietly let them shut behind you as you walk out on the dark street.

"Fucking hell, pick up," Heeseung mutters under his nose as another one of his calls goes straight into the voice mail. He's been sitting on the edge of the couch, nervously picking on his nails ever since you left the apartment.

It's way too late for anyone to be walking outside alone. Heeseung's well aware of that, so the second that his call gets declined again, he jumps up on his feet and leaves your house, not even bothering to lock the door behind him. The only thought present in his mind is to find you and make things right. He can't believe he would hurt you like that with some reckless words he didn't even mean. You always told him he was way too hot headed for his own good and now the time has finally come for your words to be proved right.

As he turns the first corner, he finds himself crashing into another person, their startled gasp echoing through the empty street. He doesn't even need a second to recognize your silhouette and without thinking much he pulls you closely to him, heart nearly beating out of his chest from relief.

"Oh my god, I was so worried about you!" He says, voice breathless as he holds you closely. Your small sniffles nearly break his heart in two. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so cruel with you earlier. I'm sorry."

But you keep silent, only let your tears drench his t-shirt. Heeseung swallows nervously, feeling like he's losing you already. And, fuck, he was not ready for that to happen.

"Please just say something," he whispers, pressing his lips to the top of your head a little desperately, yearning for any sort of an answer from you. "YN?"

"I'm sorry, Heeseung," you say quietly as you finally pull away from him, finally allowing him to see all the damage he's caused written all over your face. "I just don't understand how could you even say all of that to me? Comparing me to your ex, really? And you've literally admitted you don't love me anymore."

Biting his lips hard, almost painfully, he listens to your broken rambling. "That's not true. I do love you." He feels his heart stuttering slightly as he notices the uncertainty in your teary eyes. "I love you, YN."

You step away even farther from him. "It's kinda hard to believe after today."

"I know," he can barely hold back the whine mingling at the back of his throat. "I know that I don't deserve to be forgiven so easily but just- Please, you can't break up with me now. Not like this. I didn't mean it, darling. I'm sorry."

The desperation in his voice nearly makes you give in. Nearly, because no matter how hard you try, you can't push his cruel words out of your mind.

"Look, Heeseung. I love you," before you can see the hope starting to shimmer in his dark eyes, you continue, "I really do but I just can't imagine how this relationship would work anymore. There's way too many wrongs to only focus on the rights, don't you agree?"

"No, I-"

"Let's just go home for now, okay?" You interrupt him, feeling tired from the long day. "I'll pack my stuff up in the morning."

After a few minutes of talking in slightly raised voices, Heeseung stopped himself before saying things he would regret. Instead, he closed his eyes and massaged his temples. You stared at him in silence, waiting for his response. This whole situation could have been avoided if only he allowed you to help him relax and didn’t lace his stress on you. But that’s not what happened when you suggested his well-deserved rest.

the vague memory and feeling of jake’s arm wrapped around your waist while you laid, immersed in the comfort of your mattress lingered in your mind for a moment immediately after you were awoken by your little daughter.

“mumma, dadda?”

you stirred slightly and looked around before your eyes landed on eira. you felt as your husband removed his arm slowly from around your figure before the mattress dipped beside you when jake sat up slightly, rubbing his eyes.

“hey, good morning, baby,” he greeted her softly, voice still raspy and filled with sleep. “c’mere.”

she smiled excitedly and ran to her dad’s side. he immediately wrapped his hands around her tiny figure, carrying her onto the bed to join you two. she quickly crawled to you, leaving a big kiss on your cheek, causing you to let out a grateful chuckle. still lying down, you turned your head to face her, sitting up slightly and cupping her cheeks before leaving a little peck on her small nose. she scrunched her face and let out a fit of tiny giggles.

wanting to join, jake playfully and gently tackled your daughter with a series of kisses along every part of her face. the room was filled with squirms and screams emitted from your toddler.

✑ lee heeseung was fine. at least, that’s what everyone thought until one morning his ex girlfriend walked through the school gates with his best friend on her arm. deciding he wasn’t quite over her, he turns to you for help and you agree without hesitation. little does he know, you’d do just about anything to get him to look at you the way you look at him.

“heeseung,” sungchan hisses. “whatever you do, don’t look behind you.” 

lee heeseung looks up, confused as to what his friend was talking about because as far as he’s concerned, they were just talking about how he had just hit a new rank on league. “what?” he asks, doe eyes going wide. when he goes to turn his head, sungchan hurriedly tries to grab ahold of heeseungs shoulders to stop him, but fails. “what are you talking abo—?” 

the rest of his sentence falls short in his throat at what he sees walking through the doors of the school. it’s shin ryujin, his ex girlfriend that was just his girlfriend three weeks ago, hanging off the arm of choi beomgyu, his best friend since the fifth grade. when did this happen? how did this happen? just a few nights ago, ryujin was calling him and leaving voicemails practically begging that he take her back despite the mutual agreement to breakup. he said no, of course, feeling like the relationship between the two had already run its course. even if her voice cracking over the other end of the line pulled at his heart, he knew it was best for the both of them. heeseung had nothing left to offer ryujin and ryujin had nothing left to offer heeseung and that was fine. he was fine.

so why was he sweating? why did he want to punch beomgyu right in the face when he whispered something in ryujin’s ear that made her laugh? 

“oh” he deadpans, turning back to grab his books from his locker that they were both standing in front of. “it’s fine, we’re broken up. this is fine. I’m fine, sungchan.” at the last syllable of his friends name, he slammed his locker door shut for emphasis. 

sungchan blinks at the loud noise, letting out a breath. “well you better be fine,” he hums and pretends to busy himself on his phone. “because they’re coming this way.” 

just then, heeseung feels a tap on his shoulder and goes rigid. “hey, heeseung” calls beomgyu. “got a minute?” 

turning around, heeseung plasters his best smile on his face and hopes that it doesn’t look like he’s absolutely constipated. or hating his life. “oh hey!” he cheers (fake). “what’s up?” 

“I hope there’s no hard feelings,” beomgyu mumbles, scratching his neck. “you know, since ryujin and I are trying things out.” 

“no, no” heeseung assures, feeling his fest clench at his sides. “no hard feelings here. ryujin and I aren’t together after all.” 

ryujin’s face contorts to a frown, looking down at heeseungs fists that are clenching and unclenching. “then why do you look like you’re about to punch someone, hee?” at the sound of her voice and the use of his nickname, heeseungs smile falls. looking to his ex, he gazes into her eyes. he’s searching for a sign, anything that will let him know that this was just a prank. but alas, there’s nothing but his sad, sad reflection. 

“nah,” heeseung says, monotoned. he’s still looking at ryujin, who’s just staring back at him in confusion. “it’s fine, I wish you guys the best.” with that, heeseung turns to walk away with heavy steps. sungchan rushes after his friend, but he’s brushed off with a mumble that he’s fine. 

he keeps walking through the halls, no idea where he’s going but just filled with the need that he needs to get away from the two people at the front of the school. it’s when he reaches the old wing of the school, that’s not used anymore save for a few classes due to the renovations that they’re going through. he stomps back and forth, pacing up and down because how could they both do this to him? despite his calm exterior back there, lee heeseung was hurt at the thought of his best friend secretly pining after his girl while they were together and not saying a thing. did he plan to go after her the minute they broke up? was beomgyu really his best friend? did ryujin really love him the way he thought?

it was 9pm and you were at a party. great right? well yeah, especially since you were there with your boyfriend niki. he had asked you nicely to come with him and who were you to say no?

“baby im gonna go sit with the boys okay?” niki said as he slowly released the hand that was lying on your waist. he smiled at and looked in your eyes. you nodded as you smiled and quickly gave him a kiss on his lips before you went off the sit with your friend, yuna.

“yn my love!” yuna said as you walked closer to her. “hey girl!!” you said as you sat next to her on the couch. you two were catching up on all the drama and all the news around the school, which you two normally did at lunch. “so you and niki?” yuna teased as she nudged your side slightly. “hes so sweet honestly, i really like him” you said as your eyes traveled to said boy. you smiled and turned your attention back to yuna. “i think we can all see, you two are jus too cute, i want what you two have” yuna pouted. you laughed at her.

while yuna was talking about her crush and their mini interaction, you felt the couch beside you dip. you turned your head and saw non other than yeonjun. you knew about him, everyone did. he was on the rugby team with niki. “hi” he huffed out. “hi” you said as you smiled at him.

unbeknownst to you, from across the room a certain someone was watching this whole interaction go down and didnt like it. he furrowed his eyebrows and clenched his jaw slightly. he didnt like how you were laughing with him. nor did he like how close he was sitting to you. “dude calm down, if it bothers you so much then jus go up there and do something” jake said after he saw how worked up niki got. “nah its cool” niki said without taking his eyes off from you.

“so you single?” yeonjun asked as he took a sip from his drink. “no, my boyfriend’s niki, you two are on the same rugby team no?” you said to him. “ahhhh niki! oh so you’re the one making him so happy lately isn’t it” yeonjun teased as he laughed at your expression. you started blushing and looked away for a moment. niki definitely didn’t like that. how could he make you blush like that? his own partner?

you were still laughing and enjoying your conversation with yeonjun when suddenly someone shouted your name. “yn” niki said coldly as he glared at yeonjun. “oh hey man i was jus-“ “shut the fuck up yeonjun. come on we’re going home yn” niki interrupted yeonjun as he held out his hand for you to grab. “but i thought-“ “lets go yn” niki said once more. you sighed and stood up. “sorry yeonjun, it was great to meet you!” you said as you smiled at him before niki grabbed you and walked out.

“niki what the fuck was that about” you said as you stood outside by his car. “get in the car yn” niki said as he walked to the drivers side. “no! what is your issue, cant i have-“ “get in the car yn.” niki said as he looked at you. you didn’t recognise the look he had in his eyes. it was cold, it wasn’t niki. you sighed as you got into the car.

on the way home you both sat in silence. it was awkward, to say the least. you didn’t know what happened and why he was acting like this but there was no way you were gonna let him treat you as if you were something he owned.

once you got home, niki opened the door and went straight to your room. “so you’re not gonna explain yourself?” you shouted slightly. “fine, im gonna go back to that party that i was actually enjoying.” you shouted and turned around, heading towards the door. “you better not” niki said as he started walking down to the living room where you were. “why? give me one reason why the fuck you decide we were gonna leave” you said frustratedly. niki kept quiet.

“unbelievable” you laughed and turned back to the door. “no” he said as he grabbed your wrist. “niki let me go” you said as you looked at him seriously. “why do you want to go back? so you can cuddle up to yeonjun again? so that he can make you blush? so that you two can flirt again? are you forgetting that you’re my girlfriend yn?” niki said frustratedly. “is this all because you’re fucking jealous? seriously niki? i didnt act like this when you had like 5 girls lining up to talk to you.” you shouted in anger. “that’s different” niki said. “how? how! is it different niki” you shouted in his face. “because unlike you i know when to fucking stop. i know not to fall for their traps. im fucking loyal yn!” niki shouted back.

you were taken aback. you heart dropped. you arent…loyal? tears started collecting in your eyes. “what” you whispered in disbelief. niki finally looked you in your eyes and he felt regret. the words left his mouth all too fast and he wasn’t thinking. it was in the heat of the moment type of thing and he didn’t mean it. his eyes widened at the tears that were dripping down your face. “yn i-“ “please just” you interrupted him as continuous tears fell down your face. niki felt bad. tears started brimming in his eyes too as you ripped your hand from his hold and walked towards the guest room. “yn” niki tried to call out for you again. you shook your head and laughed slightly. “and to think that i thought i was enough for you. please just leave me alone niki” you said sadly as you closed the guest rooms door.

niki sighed in frustration as he gripped his hair with his hands. he started sobbing. it was so hard that his heart started hurting. he cant believe the fact that he let his jealousy and insecurities take over him. his past relationships weren’t the best, and you knew that but when he was with you it felt different but he fucked up everything once again. oh how he wished he could turn back time. “im so sorry baby” he whispered while crying and soon he fell asleep from exhaustion.

“hey love” you whispered sadly. after about 2hrs of sitting in the guest room you decided to come outside for a snack but instead you were met with your boyfriend who was sleeping on the couch with tear stained cheeks. niki’s eyes slowly fluttered open upon you calling his name. you gently brushed his hair away from his face. “lets go sleep in our room okay?” you said softly to him. he nodded his head and got up while yawning. “im so sorry baby, i didn’t know what i was thinking” niki said as tears started forming in his eyes again. “hey hey, its okay, how about we go sleep and talk about this tomorrow morning okay? i forgive you baby, now come” you said as you gave him a comforting smile. he nodded and walked to your room.

once you both were settled in bed, he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head in your shoulder. “close your eyes and go sleep, im not angry at you i promise” you said as you kissed his forehead. “i don’t deserve you” niki said with his eyes closed. you smiled and played with his hair as he drifted off into dream land.
