Arriving at Chris’ pod in Boston felt homier than his place in L.A., this one was more him. Walking through the picture frames above his fireplace as he’s finishing up parking. You thought that he’s truly a family-oriented man. The photos presented are of those the memories he has along with his parents and siblings, of course, East and Dodger too. While you were appreciating Chris’ photo frame display, your phone rang.

Chubby Dumpling calling...

No fucking way that Sebastian was finally trying to contact you. Out of the concern you were having for him the past few days, you weren’t able to quite hear that Chris was coming inside as you answered the call. “Sebastian,” you sigh. Chris got in and was supposed to the door. However, hearing you say Sebastian’s name made Chris slowly close the door, not wanting you to know that he’s already in there. He didn’t know what the fuck he was doing and why was he doing this. “How are- god. I- how could I even ask you that,” you laughed, but it wasn’t that laugh where your tone was filled with joy. Which made Chris even more curious about the conversation you were having. He wasn’t the type to eavesdrop on someone, especially to his girlfriend that he trusts. However, there was just something in the tone of your voice that made him want to listen further. So he did. “Just tell me you’re safe, please? ‘Is all I want to hear,” “...no, no. I haven’t- Chris doesn’t know,” He wasn’t having this. “What do I not know, Y/N?”

Time, Chapter 7.1: Day One on Vehement Thrill

At the same night of Henry and Sebastian’s dispute, you talked to Henry and explained that you have no idea that Seb’s been feeling that way towards you. Andrea refused to speak her mind during that time and decided to spend the night at Fred’s first to take a breather. You, on the other hand, decided to have Chris over your apartment after his con as you really needed an escape from what you’ve just discovered. You wanted to say it to Chris. That Seb was in love with you, but you didn’t want to be the one bearing the bad news to him that one of his trusted friends is in love with his girlfriend. A few days have already passed since the incident, you still have no updates on how Sebastian is doing. He wasn’t picking up your calls or replying to any of your messages.

The sun kissed a part of your skin making you wake up due to its warmth and Chris’ as his arms are wrapped around you, he’s been staying with you in your apartment. Helping you rehearse your lines, practice your stunts and keep you company since Andrea’s way too busy to head home, least it’s what she says. Chris didn’t want you to feel lonely. Besides, his schedule is crystal clear as he’s currently on vacation after filming everything he was needed for. You moved from having your back on sleeping position to your side to face Chris who’s peacefully sleeping right now. You slowly lift your right hand to put your fingers lightly on his face, faintly touching his long eyelashes on your way down to gently pinch his florid cheeks. You jolt in surprise when he suddenly puts his left hands over your waist, “What are you staring at me for?” he says as he slowly opens his eyes and gives you a weak smile. “Well I can’t help but to look at how handsome you are,” you complimented him and he pulled you closer to give you a tight hug. Chris obviously doesn’t know how to take compliments so he just gave back the compliment you just gave, “excuse me? Coming from you who looks like a goddess when all you did was just wake up?” he scoffed. “This isn’t fair, you know,” you chuckled in response to what he just told you. Slowly, you wrapped your arms around him too and buried your face in the crook of his neck. You were cuddling with Chris when your alarm started ringing. Chris let out an annoyed sigh and hugged you even tighter, trying to make you stay and cuddle on the bed with him. “You know, I gotta press that alarm for it to stop, right?” you looked up to him, “I know, but I don’t want you to go,” he looks down at you and pouts. Damn him for what he did. Because now, you’re sure as hell that you don’t want to go but you have to. “Chris if you keep on doing that I may actually ditch the scenes I’m supposed to shoot today and probably lose my job so...” he let out a loud laugh and let you go as he raises his hands in the air signaling that he won’t try to stop you from going to work anymore. You sit up to turn off your alarm clock, after that, you tie your hair in a lazy messy bun and grab your phone. You check if Seb has replied to the messages you have sent, but he didn’t and as the days pass by your concern just grows stronger so you decided to contact Andrea and ask her a favor to look after Seb. You pressed Andrea’s speed dial number and stood up from your bed, gesturing to Chris that you have to step out of your room for the call. Of course, you didn’t want him to know this way about what Sebastian did, you lightly closed the door waiting for Andrea to pick up the call.

“Hey, (Y/N). What’s up?” you couldn’t find the right words to ask her to look after Seb, “(Y/N)? You there?” she repeats. You breathed in one last time before finally answering, “Yeah, A. I’m here. U-uhm… I just wanted to ask if you have any news from Seb? Well he hasn’t been responding to any of my calls or messages, I’m just really worried and I want to talk to him to sort this out because… It’s Seb, you know what I mean?” You looked down as you heard Andrea sigh. “He’s talking to you, A. Is he?” You followed up and Andrea just gave you a hum in agreement with what you just said. “He really doesn’t want to talk to me now huh,” your tears started building but you immediately looked upwards and sniffed to avoid crying, “Just give him time. You know how he is, and I know that as much as it’s hard for you, it’s twice or even thrice for him. Especially now that he knows about you and Chris, he saw his instagram post.” Your heart ached for him. Because he’s your best friend. He’s always been there whenever you needed him and the one time… The one time he needed someone, it infuriates you that you couldn’t be there for him because you’re the reason why he’s being this way. “Can you look after Seb, A? I mean, I don’t know maybe stay with him in the meantime. I just don’t want him to feel alone and think that things have changed.” You didn’t notice that your foot’s been softly stomping the ground for a while now, but you did when it stopped because of what Andrea has just said. “But it did, (Y/N). Things have changed. We can’t just act like nothing happened and he can’t put his feelings for you aside that easily. You of all people should know that,” The silence from ends of the line is killing you both. Andrea’s right and you don’t know what else to respond to, so you both just stood there, speechless. Letting it all sink in. Andrea couldn’t take the loudness of your silence anymore, “Anyway, don’t worry. I’ll look after him. I have to go now, it’s a busy day ahead. I may skip attending the set later because I have to finish all these paperworks, good luck on your shooting later. I know you’ll break a leg,” to lighten up the mood you tried cracking a joke, “you didn’t mean that literally, do you?” Andrea gave you a weak giggle and told you to stop acting silly. You both said your goodbyes and ended the call. You put your phone down and decided to start cooking breakfast for you and Chris. You started gathering the ingredients needed for an avocado toast and green smoothie. While you were preparing breakfast, a warm buffed arm wrapped around you, “you do know I don’t like avocados, right?” you chuckled and moved your free hand up to pat Chris’ head, “Yes, I do, but I’d rather let you decide if you still don’t want to eat avocados when you have a taste of this toast, I mean I’m not a great cook but this? This is my specialty, sir,” Chris clenched his jaw upon hearing once again the nickname you gave him. He buried his face in the crook of your neck and gave you a light kiss. “Hmm… We’ll see. But what did I tell you about calling me that?” he whispered, which sent vibrations down your spine, “I...uh, well…” you didn’t know what to answer, you were of no doubt, suddenly distracted. He let out a laugh upon noticing his effect on you, “I’ll leave you to finish preparing our breakfast,” he loosen his hug and continue what he’s saying, “Don’t forget you’re mine, okay?” he gave you a quick peck on the lips before sitting down on the couch. Your head tilted and your brows furrowed in confusion of what he just said, but as green as grass, Chris told you that because he overheard you talking about Sebastian earlier and he doesn’t want to feel like he’s in a competition. Because if he did let that, he’ll do everything to win. Especially if the price is you.
