We have liftoff!

Production photographer Marc Brenner’s (X @brennerphotos) first photos of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club NYC have been released. They showcase Eddie Redmayne, reprising his Olivier Award-winning role as The Emcee + Gayle Rankin, who appeared as Fraulein Kost in the 2014 Broadway revival, as Sally Bowles.

Encore, encore!

📸 Remember our first real look at Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club London in 2021? The brilliant Marc Brenner, chronicler of UK theatre, was the man behind the lens. No wonder our pulse raced Tuesday when his Insta showed him boarding a flight for New York. Could there be a second act? Sure enough, later in the day he was standing in front of the Kit Kat Club New York, which surely means photos of the Broadway cast — led by Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin + Bebe Neuwirth — now prepping for their Monday opening. We’ll be looking!!!

Cabaret camaraderie

(Top) Eddie Redmayne selfied by Kit Kat Club “Cabaret girl” Texas, Mimi Scardulla, who reported “Tech is fun.”

(Below) Eddie at the mike during Saturday’s “sitzprobe,” the first rehearsal of the singers and orchestra for the unique sound of the Kit Kat Club. If the production repeats the London arrangement, the musicians are divided into two balconies overlooking the round, rotating stage in the middle of the “club.” (Photo from IG @kitkatclubnyc)

The Lambert look

Luckily for fans, Eddie Redmayne’s partnership with stylist Harry Lambert is going strong, with Eddie covering the new edition of Replica Man magazine in a leggy look, wearing Dior. The impeccably cool grooming is by Eddie’s go-to London artist Petra Sellge.

Lambert was responsible for Eddie’s slew of “best dressed” honors last year during his promotion of The Good Nurse and awards season (below). He’s also credited with eye-popping styling of other celebs including Harry Styles, Emma Corrin and Josh O'Connor, and has spun his fame into designing a popular line for Zara.

With Lambert continuing to style him, Eddie in New York for Cabaret (+likely the Met Gala in May), then promoting his TV series, Day of the Jackal, 2024 should be full of stylistic surprises.

Cabaret’s biggest fan

Eddie Redmayne is masterful at selling the unique aspects of the production of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, opening April 1 on Broadway. We can’t wait to see if they’ve replicated the magic of the London production’s grotty basement entry + 1929 nightclub. (My stillframes from Playbill video)

Lots and lots and lots of Eddie
…if we’re to believe this Daily Mirror preview of Sky TV’s lineup for 2024 that has Eddie Redmayne’s “Day of the Jackal” series at 10 parts (as do some hints on IMDb).

No word yet on the actual release date of the global thriller, which co-stars Lashana Lynch, Ursula Corberó + Charles Dance:

This contemporary reimagining of the iconic thriller stars Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne as The Jackal, an unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, and No Time to Die’s Lashana Lynch as Bianca, a tenacious MI6 agent in a relentless, global pursuit to catch him. The 10-part thriller is based on Frederick Forsyth’s seminal novel and its 1973 film adaptation.

“While remaining true to the DNA of the original, this new drama will delve deeper into the chameleon like ‘anti-hero’ at the heart of the story, in a high octane, cinematic, globetrotting ‘cat and mouse’ thriller, set amidst the turbulent geo-political landscape of our time. The Day of the Jackal is written and adapted by Top Boy creator and writer Ronan Bennett, with award-winning Game of Thrones, Luther and Boardwalk Empire director Brian Kirk serving as lead director. The Day of the Jackal will premiere on Sky Atlantic.”

These photos, which appeared on Just Jared, show Eddie filming on location in Croatia.
