When twst Eng was announced I was very nervous.

Mainly it was being released in the U.S and western fans (especially the US ones) aren't very good at actually thinking about what they consume, at least in my experience (not all of them ofc)

They mostly just pick out base characteristics and make that the character's entire personality and then decide if they love or hate them based on those black and white attributes without any nuance or critical thought.

When I heard about the mistakes (Cater's sisters, Kalim's name) and suspicious info removals (removing Cater saying he would date Vil, replacing beautiful with handsome when describing Vil) going on in twst English I was even more concerned.

When I heard about how they watered down Azul's story so they didn't "offend" anyone I was unsurprised but very sad.

Now seeing how horribly almost every character is characterised by the fandom I'm not surprised but I am still very sad and a little bit upset.

The characters of Twisted Wonderland are so beautifully complex and authentic that it still blows my mind to think about.

I hate the fact that they've been whittled down to "rules" "beauty" "sleepy" "money" etc

There's so much more to them than that
