Dear fans and followers, I wanted to make a wee community announcement. I couldn't help but notice that there has been some social animosity of late. It's becoming increasingly prevalent on my feed. There has been lots of, let's call it speculation for now, about my private life and professional partnerships. Now, while I do appreciate the passion and support by those very people who are "speculating", It has come to such a point that I needed to say something, which in itself, is a bad thing. We are living in an age of social enlightenment. More and more, people are realising that their views may have been blinkered and that they need to expand them to encompass others. So, to you out there who are expressing your disdain and showing your displeasure through a surprising variety of ways, it's time to stop. I know it can be fun to speculate, to gossip, and to dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your "passion" is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most. Even your most conservative of negative assumptions about both my personal and professional life just aren't true. Let's embrace this age of social enlightenment together, and move forward with positivity. I am very happy in love, and in life. I'd be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. Today is International Women's Day and I'm dedicating this post to the most magnificent woman I know. My mum. Why oh why am I wearing a warm hat indoors?...I'm not going to tell you. This may cause you undue stress. Luckily the ancient Incas are said to have used the herb, Lemon Verbena, as way of relieving tension and stress. And now that I'm stressed because you're stressed and it's my fault...which doubles the stress....I'm going to double down on the chill out and mix my Lemon Verbena Water with tequila. Monday to Friday I'm up at 0430 to get a few hours rehab in before my work day starts. Some mornings are rough, but I do always get to see the dawn by the time I'm finishing up. The snow made this one even more enjoyable, if not a touch chilly! [Henry Cavill, 25th January 2021]

We are in lockdown here the UK so I'm using my once a day outdoor exercise to go for my first jog since my hamstring injury! (More on that another time). Verified It has been quite the year, a year that has required some serious mental fortitude to overcome. At the closing of 2020 it feels apt that I can announce that I have joined forces with MuscleTech. Their motto is, “strength redefined.” A motto that puts the emphasis on strength being something that comes from deep within. Something that we all have access to. Happy Birthday to the Royal Marines Corps! Some of you may know that one of my brothers is a Royal Marine. So, I've long had a relationship with them, of sorts. Its also what I would probably be doing if the film industry hadn't got me first. Both of these things led to me becoming an Ambassador for the Royal Marines charity quite a few years ago. An ambassadorship of which I am enormously proud. The legacy of the Royal Marines is long, 356 years to be precise. Which so happens to make their "birth" year, 1664, which so happens to also be a lager, which makes celebrating their birthday rather easy. Witcher training focuses on three major aspects....speed, explosive power, and fitness. Which can hurt! I haven't had the opportunity to run for miles up hill since Gibralter many years ago! But there is no better place to get back into that groove than the Lake District here at home in the UK. This place has just stormed into my top 3 favourite places in the world! England returns to Lockdown on Thursday so it is time for me to depart Yorkshire and The extraordinary North, and head back down South to continue shooting in the studio. Just a man, a dog, and his lion hat. Next Sunday is the official day, at long last, for The Durrell Challenge! For those running it virtually, it can be done on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday! Whichever day you choose, we'll all be doing it for the greater good of our planet, and all the species living on it. Speaking of the virtual run, to protect the health and the jobs of my fellow cast and crew here on The Witcher, I've decided to err on the side of caution and stay local to do my very own Durrell Challenge, rather than travel to Jersey.
