Following from my previous Jonsa fix-it fic rec list, some more fix-it fics in the north:

Honor the Living [Link] | @ruta-yawara | Three scenes after the Battle of Winterfell but before that of Kingslanding: Sansa speaks to Dany, to Arya, and finally to Jon.

Take Me Home [Link] | @ladystarks | 6,648 | It is nearly a moon before Sansa’s next letter reaches Jon. This time, there are only two words. Come home.

Words Hung Above [Link] | @sansuhhhsnark | 4,062 | “Tell them,” Jon says. Sansa turns to Bran, her heart racing. Set immediately after the cut from this scene in 8.04.

What If (Don’t Even Think It) [Link] | @zarahjoyce | 1,144 | “I know my responsibilities, Jon. I am expected to lead. But because I’m a woman I am also expected to produce heirs. As I refuse to be subjected to another arranged marriage, this is the only way. Believe me.” She inhales slowly. “I’m trying to do good for both the North and myself, and as Queen I can. Therefore, I will.”

Someone Still Loves You [Link] | @ladyalice101 | 2,240 | She knows the Lord’s mutter about her and her wildling lover, and they perhaps even suspect the truth of his identity, but he’s not her lover, not really. She just wants him to be.

Sansa, Gendry, and Winterfell [Link] @anniebibananie | Arya and Jon go back to Winterfell after they kill Dany to find Gendry and Sansa waiting for them.

This is the only thing (i’ve ever had any faith in) [Link] | @sansuhhhsnark | 1,098 | The Hall hushes as Tormund Giantsbane comes forth, a huge white direwolf at his side, a slim bundle in his hands. He looks at no one except for the Queen, and she stands to receive him, quaking at the look on his face. The tears start to fall, moments before the wildling man says anything. “It’s Jon,” he tells her, dropping to his knees.

What the Water Gave Me [Link] | @pardonmymannerssir | 15,278 | She huffs out a humorless laugh and looks away, fingers trailing through the softly moving water. “There is hardly anything to return home to, and I belong with my family.” She looks up, sadness and grief and the memory of past hurts reflecting within the watery depths of her pretty eyes. “You are my home now, Jon Snow, where you go, I will follow.”

Wool and Tallow [Link] | @orangeflavoryawp |  Season 8 AU after 8x03, wherein Dany has died in the Battle for Winterfell and the North has no reason to march on King’s Landing. The Starks learn how to live in the aftermath.

Follow me @tacitwhisky for jonsa fic recs, photo sets, and fanfic. I swear I’m good at at least two of those.

Before 8.06 aired, I imagined that Sansa would in some way show up in King’s Landing without Jon’s knowledge and that we’d finally get a real, unedited reaction from him once he saw her. Something he’d be unable to hide despite being in the presence of Dany, someone he keeps controlling his reactions around. I imagined a shuddering intake of breath and his being visibly taken aback as Sansa appeared.

But the episode went on and on and Dany died and nothing happened and then Sansa appeared and Jon was nowhere to be seen and blah blah blah.

But then something did happen.

“On one of my last days ever on the set and I had a moment by myself where I just walking in my Sansa costume onto the grounds of Winterfell and I was thinking, ‘This is one of the last times I will be here as Sansa in my home’ and it was this emotional powerful moment,” - Sophie Turner

On the off chance that we survive the Night King, what if the Seven Kingdoms, for once in their whole shit history, were ruled by a just woman and an honorable man?
